Tullie Murrell
Tullie Murrell is the CEO and co-founder of Shaped, a New York startup building a real-time retrieval engine for search, feeds, and agents. Before Shaped, Murrell spent about five years at Facebook AI Research, where he created PyTorchVideo, the leading open-source library for video understanding, and was an early core contributor to PyTorch Lightning, a training framework now used by millions of developers. The video models he led powered Facebook newsfeed ranking and Instagram Reels. In 2021 he left big-tech research to package that same personalization machinery into a self-serve product for companies without armies of ML engineers. Shaped went through Y Combinator's W22 batch and raised an $8M Series A led by Madrona Ventures in July 2024.

Orama is an open-source search company building an 'answer engine' for developers - a lightweight, high-performance stack that bundles full-text, vector, and hybrid search with automatic embedding generation and built-in LLMs. Started as the open-source project Lyra and incorporated as OramaSearch Inc. in 2023 by Issac Roth and Michele Riva, its core library ships in under 2KB and runs in the browser, on servers, or at the edge. Poly is an intelligent cloud file browser built for the AI era. It replaces Finder and File Explorer with a natural-language, multimodal interface that stores, tags, summarizes, searches, and generates across terabytes of text, PDFs, docs, images, audio, video, and URLs. Powered by a proprietary embedding model called Polyembed-v1, Poly emerged from stealth in November 2025 with $8M in seed funding led by Felicis. Founded by Abhay Agarwal, the company pivoted from AI 3D-asset generation to reinvent the file system itself.
