The art of the strategic
customer engagement

ServiceNow's Elevate program is not sales. It's not account management either, exactly. It lives in a different register - somewhere between executive consulting and long-game relationship architecture. The goal is to work with a company's most senior leadership to map their strategic priorities to what the ServiceNow platform can actually do, then execute on that alignment at scale.

Brown runs this for APAC - a region that spans radically different regulatory environments, enterprise maturity levels, and cultural contexts for technology adoption. The Australian Energy Market Operator engagement is a useful case study. AEMO, which manages the electricity and gas systems serving 22 million Australians, needed to modernize its risk management and compliance infrastructure. Under Brown's strategic engagement, they implemented ServiceNow Risk Management - and cut mean time to resolution by 30%.

ServiceNow and Amazon Web Services are building AI governance architecture that combines ServiceNow AI Control Tower with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore - Brown's engagement remit sits precisely at this intersection.

In May 2026, Brown was in Las Vegas for ServiceNow Knowledge 2026, the company's flagship annual conference. Across three days at The Venetian Resort, with thousands of attendees from around the world, she represented APAC - the region that increasingly drives some of the most ambitious enterprise AI deployments on the platform.

Jacq Leigh
Born from a promotion

The story starts in a shopping mall. Tania Brown had just been promoted to director at CBRE Singapore. She went to buy herself a laptop bag to mark the occasion - and found nothing. The market for corporate laptop bags had, apparently, not considered that corporate women exist.

What followed was 18 months of parallel work: director by day, brand builder by night and weekend. She designed the bag. Built the website. Managed logistics. Handled marketing. All alongside a demanding senior role at one of the world's largest commercial real estate companies, across multiple Asian markets.

Jacq Leigh launched in April 2019. It was co-founded with Ed, and the name reflects that partnership. The brand also spawned the Jacq Leigh Network - a LinkedIn community created to connect corporate women through shared professional experiences.

Pressure as preference,
not as condition

There's a pattern in how Tania Brown approaches difficult things: she doesn't wait for the conditions to be right. She built Jacq Leigh during one of the most demanding periods of her professional life. She took the ACCA with the explicit goal of actually using the knowledge, not just passing the test. She moved countries - twice - before most people have figured out which industry they want to stay in.

This is not restlessness. It's calibration. Brown has consistently moved toward more complexity rather than less: from standalone management accounting to leading digital solutions across South East Asia, from a regional director role to the executive engagement layer of one of the world's most technically sophisticated enterprise platforms.

"I've always liked being under pressure and stretching myself; I thrive in this environment."

Tania Brown - ACCA Global

The ACCA qualification is, in this context, more revealing than it first appears. The ACCA is not a shortcut credential. It's a rigorous, multi-year qualification that spans financial management, audit, law, and strategic business. The fact that Brown sat it while working full time, across multiple countries, and scored second highest in Australia - says something specific about how she operates under constraint.

Her move into tech also reflects a particular kind of strategic patience. She didn't jump straight from accounting into cloud leadership - she built through real estate finance, then digital transformation within real estate, then executive engagement at AWS, then strategic customer leadership at ServiceNow. Each step added a layer the previous one lacked.

Credential

ACCA Qualification

Association of Chartered Certified Accountants - one of the most respected global accounting qualifications. Tania Brown achieved the second highest score in Australia. She didn't just want to pass - she wanted to retain the knowledge to deploy it.

Origin Story

Dropped out in week three

College lasted three weeks before Brown walked out. She secured an internship at American Airlines instead, where she completed the equivalent of A-levels a year early and discovered ACCA - a qualification she'd go on to ace.

The Score

#2 in Australia

The ACCA is a demanding, multi-year global accounting qualification. Brown qualified with the second highest score across all of Australia - doing so while working full-time across multiple countries and industries.

18 Months Hidden

Built a brand in secret

While serving as Director of Digital Solutions at CBRE Singapore, Brown spent 18 months building Jacq Leigh in parallel: designing the product, building the e-commerce site, managing logistics, and developing marketing. No one forced the deadline - she set it herself.

The Trigger

A shopping trip, a promotion

Brown went to celebrate a promotion with a new laptop bag. The market offered nothing designed for corporate women. The idea that women "had to compromise or use the ones for men" became the founding premise of an entire brand.

The Move

Five cities, two continents

Brown has lived and worked in London, Brisbane, Melbourne, Singapore, and Sydney. Each city added a layer: venture capital, social sector, fund accounting, digital transformation, cloud platforms.

The Network

Jacq Leigh Network

Beyond the product, Brown built a LinkedIn community called the Jacq Leigh Network - connecting like-minded women through shared experiences and professional knowledge. Products fade; communities compound.
