Orchestrating exceptional dining experiences - AI-powered ordering, payment and engagement for the restaurants you eat at every week.
You have almost certainly used TabSquare without knowing its name. It is the tablet menu at a sit-down chain, the self-order kiosk in a food court, the QR code you scanned to order without flagging down a server. Behind those screens sits a Singapore company that has spent more than a decade on a single, unglamorous idea: that the moment a diner decides what to order is a moment worth engineering.
Founded in 2012 by three INSEAD graduates - Anshul Gupta, Chirag Tejuja and Sankaran Sreeraman - TabSquare set out to digitize the front of house for the food and beverage industry. Its pitch was straightforward. Restaurants run on thin margins and high staff turnover. If software could take orders accurately, recommend the right add-on, process payment and capture data, operators could sell more and run leaner without asking anyone to become an engineer.
The company describes its purpose as orchestrating exceptional dining experiences. In practice that means an AI recommendation engine trained on millions of orders, wrapped in a family of ordering surfaces - tablet eMenus, kiosks and QR web ordering - and connected to payments, loyalty and back-of-house operations.
That focus has scaled. TabSquare now runs on roughly 6,000 active devices across ten markets in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Europe, serving more than 12 million diners and around 6 million orders a year. In 2021 it was acquired by Delivery Hero, one of the world's largest food-delivery groups, and today operates as a wholly owned subsidiary - a bridge between the in-store table and the online delivery order.
The results it reports are specific rather than sweeping: outlets using AI-personalized menus see up to a 25% higher average bill value and around a 10% lift in overall revenue. Small nudges, made at scale, that compound.
Restaurants and F&B chains, from single outlets to large multi-country groups. Named clients span quick-service and casual dining:
"The most underrated moment in any meal is the five seconds before a diner decides. TabSquare built a business inside those seconds."

Self-service ordering kiosk for counter-service and QSR. Cuts queues and lifts average order value through AI recommendations.
Contactless QR-code web ordering that turns any smartphone into an ordering and payment device - no app download required.
Machine-learning model trained on millions of orders that personalizes menus and drives cross-sell and upsell in real time.
Personalized offers, loyalty programs and re-engagement campaigns tied directly to ordering data.
Integrated flexible payments plus order and queue management connecting front-of-house to the kitchen and back office.

TabSquare is B2B software with a hardware-enabled edge. It licenses its AI ordering, payment and engagement platform to restaurants and chains - typically as a subscription plus device deployment and transaction-linked services - monetizing higher order value, faster throughput and richer data. As a Delivery Hero subsidiary it also links in-store ordering to online delivery.
Many vendors sell a kiosk or a POS. TabSquare's differentiator is the AI recommendation layer that spans every ordering surface, plus a single stack covering tablet, kiosk, QR, payment and loyalty. Its Delivery Hero ownership gives it reach and delivery integration that standalone hardware players lack.
It competes in restaurant self-ordering and F&B tech - a field that includes Toast, Square for Restaurants, GRUBBRR and regional kiosk and POS providers. TabSquare's stronghold is Asia-Pacific, where it built early density before extending to the Middle East and Europe.
A decade of F&B-specific machine learning, multi-market deployment across ten countries, and integrated payments - all tuned to a single vertical rather than sold as generic retail software.
