Commsignia is a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology company that builds the software stacks, on-board units, roadside units and cloud platforms that let cars, road infrastructure and traffic operators talk to one another. Founded in Hungary in 2012 and now headquartered in Santa Clara, California, the company supplies standards-compliant C-V2X and DSRC solutions used by automakers, road operators and departments of transportation across more than 20 countries, with the goal of reducing collisions and smoothing traffic flow under the banner 'Trust for the road ahead.'
Ettifos
Ettifos is a South Korea-based, 5G-focused V2X (vehicle-to-everything) company building the communication layer that lets cars, roadside infrastructure, and pedestrians exchange safety and traffic data in real time. Its flagship SIRIUS platform uses a software-defined modem that can switch between LTE-V2X and 5G-V2X with a software update, and its plug-and-play V2X-AIR onboard unit brings standards-compliant connectivity to both new and existing vehicles. Founded in 2018, the company works with partners like Keysight, Autotalks, Audi, and Kapsch TrafficCom, and closed a Series B round in 2025 to scale a C-V2X hardware accelerator chip and expand into U.S. and European markets.

Obvio is a San Carlos, California startup building solar-powered, AI-equipped camera pylons that watch intersections for dangerous driving - running stop signs, speeding, illegal turns, crosswalk violations and distracted driving. The cameras process footage on-device, flag only genuine violations for human review, and hand verified cases to local police, who decide whether to issue citations. Obvio installs the hardware for municipalities at no upfront cost and earns revenue from a share of citation fees. Founded by former Motive engineers Ali Rehan and Dhruv Maheshwari, the company raised a $22 million Series A led by Bain Capital Ventures in June 2025 and reports that early Maryland deployments cut stop-sign running by roughly 50-70%.
American Rock Salt Company LLC
American Rock Salt Company LLC operates the largest-producing salt mine in the United States, located roughly 1,150 feet beneath the Genesee Valley near Mount Morris, New York. Founded in 1997 and brought into production in 2001, it was the first successful new salt mine built in the U.S. in over four decades. The company mines, processes and distributes high-quality rock salt - primarily for road de-icing - across the Northeast Snow Belt, producing up to 18,000-20,000 tons a day at peak and keeping winter highways passable for state and municipal agencies throughout the region.
Netradyne
Netradyne is a San Diego-based AI and edge-computing company that builds Driveri, a vision-based dashcam and analytics platform for commercial fleets. Founded in 2015 by two former Qualcomm engineers, it uses on-device computer vision to score driving in real time, recognize good behavior as well as risk, and turn raw road footage into coaching, compliance, and exoneration evidence. In January 2025 it raised a $90M Series D at a $1.34B valuation, becoming India's first unicorn of the year thanks to its large Bengaluru engineering base.
