Ours Privacy helps healthcare ads keep a secret

A couples counseling company stripped its website of tracking tools. The workaround became Ours Privacy, a business selling healthcare marketers a way to measure results without sending patient secrets along for the ride.

A couples counseling website is an awkward place to install an advertising tracker. Someone arrives looking for help with a relationship; somewhere else, a marketing system would like to know what happened next. Ours Privacy began in that awkward space. Its founders had a healthcare business to grow and private conversations to protect. Their first answer was to remove the machinery that made marketing measurable.

The useful bits
  • A healthcare data platform that controls what reaches ad and analytics tools.
  • Consent, attribution, and experiments share the same underlying events.
  • A $15 million Series A announced in August 2026 funds further expansion.

A website with nothing to report

The predecessor, Ours, offered couples counseling. Its privacy stance left the website without third-party scripts. Adam Putterman described the result to AdExchanger: “no pixels, no video, not even a Google Font.” A marketer could spend money attracting visitors, but had little feedback about what brought them through the door.

Co-founder and CTO Tyler Zey helped build an internal alternative using server-side connections and controls on shared data. Putterman reported lower acquisition costs. Agency partners wanted access; repeated requests persuaded the founders to commercialize it. Ours Privacy spun out in 2024. The saleable discovery was hiding in the work they had done to protect their original business.

The gate before the dashboard

Ours Privacy’s core product is a customer data platform, or CDP. It collects events from websites, apps, and connected systems, then lets customers decide what may reach each destination. Sensitive fields can be redacted, renamed, hashed, or otherwise transformed. The useful question moves from “What did the visitor do?” to “Who is allowed to learn which part of it?”

Consider an appointment request. A healthcare organization wants to connect that outcome to a campaign. An advertising platform wants feedback to improve delivery. In Holton’s description to Fierce Healthcare, the downstream signal can be stripped to an undisclosed action the organization valued. The organization retains richer information internally. This distinction makes measurement possible while limiting disclosure.

Google Ads, Meta, GA4, and Google Tag Manager are among its supported tools. Its integrations page advertises more than 150 connections, spanning advertising destinations, CRMs, warehouses, and other systems. Customers can keep familiar tools while changing the route data takes to reach them. That is a practical attraction for teams with campaigns already running.

Permission gets a seat at the table

In July 2025, Ours Privacy added integrated consent management. Cookie banners are easy to recognize; the less visible job is making a visitor’s choice affect later data sharing. The platform offers regional rules, customizable categories, multilingual displays, and detailed consent records. Permission becomes part of the operating system for marketing rather than a greeting at the door.

The expanding suite also includes a web scanner for third-party scripts and healthcare-focused video and map tools. These address the small additions that accumulate on websites. A new embed might look like an editorial improvement while introducing another data recipient. A scan gives the team something concrete to investigate before another department adds its next helpful widget.

The December 2025 analytics release brought together attribution, web analytics, session replay, and funnels. A marketer can examine which channels contribute to conversions and where visitors stop progressing. The A/B testing product connects experiments with heatmaps and replay, adding context to a winning variant. June 2026 brought announced workflows for managing experiments through AI assistants.

The subscription has a traffic meter

Ours Privacy sells business software through demos and custom quotes. Its four public plans run from Essential to Enterprise+, with bands based on monthly tracked users. The feature table matters as much as the traffic allowance: consent management, integrations, and other capabilities vary by plan, and selected features are add-ons. Buyers need to price the configuration they will actually use.

Public plan bands / monthly tracked users
EssentialUp to 50,000
CoreUp to 200,000
EnterpriseUp to 1 million
Enterprise+Over 1 million

Freshpaint is a direct competitor the company names in its own marketing. Ours Privacy’s pitch combines healthcare-specific controls, implementation support, and integrated marketing tools. Those are reasons to investigate, rather than proof of superiority. A useful comparison asks which destinations work, what transformations are available, who handles setup, and what the contract includes.

A larger bet on a smaller disclosure

The company reports more than 200 healthcare organizations using its platform. Public testimonials include Oceans Healthcare, Medi Weightloss, Maven Clinic, and Allara. These buyers have a shared predicament: they need people to find care, and they need to measure that effort without treating a patient’s interests as ordinary shopping behavior.

In April 2026, a WebMD Ignite partnership connected audience intelligence and activation with Ours Privacy’s data infrastructure. In August, the company announced a $15 million Series A led by Lightbank and Health Velocity Capital. The funding supports expansion for enterprise healthcare organizations. The business is broadening from controlling outgoing data to supplying more of the tools marketers use around it.

Try it with your own event

The most useful habit to borrow is a demonstration. Pick an appointment event. List its recipients. Inspect the outgoing fields, refuse consent, and check what changes. Ours Privacy’s documentation follows a similarly concrete sequence: install, verify an event, connect a destination. Procurement becomes much clearer when everyone can look at the same payload.

The product still requires deliberate configuration. Server-side transport does not itself make data appropriate to share, and hashing is a transformation rather than a universal permission slip. Teams must maintain their rules, honor consent, and respect destination policies. Ours Privacy’s appeal is that these decisions can happen in an inspectable place. Healthcare marketing gets a feedback loop with a doorman who has instructions.
