The Dispatch

A recruiter that reads resumes without the six-second bias

How a former search-firm founder turned hiring into a data problem

Most hiring decisions start with a glance. A recruiter skims a resume, forms an impression, and moves on - a process fast, human, and famously inconsistent. X0PA AI, founded in Singapore in 2017, was built on the premise that this part of hiring should be measurable. Its cloud platform sources candidates, screens them, and scores them on skills, experience, predicted performance, loyalty and cultural fit, then hands recruiters a ranked shortlist with the reasoning attached.

The founder, Nina Alag Suri, did not arrive at the problem theoretically. She spent roughly 25 years in recruitment, running a global executive-search firm called Nastrac Group, before deciding the subjectivity she saw every day was worth disrupting - even at the expense of her own business. X0PA is the tool she says she wished she had. Today the company serves more than 100 organizations, from Singapore government agencies to universities to public-sector clients in the Middle East.

What it does

From requisition to ranked shortlist

X0PA AI is a B2B SaaS platform that automates the front end of hiring. It uses machine learning, predictive analytics and natural language processing to post jobs, source and screen applicants, and rank them against a role. The system reads both structured signals - skills, qualifications, work history - and unstructured ones such as behavioral traits, then produces a score a recruiter can act on. A browser extension, dashboards and integrations with existing HRIS and applicant-tracking systems are designed to slot into workflows rather than replace them.

The unusual part

The hiring bots have names

Why X0PA gave its agents first names and job titles

In 2025 X0PA folded its automation into an Agentic AI Suite - a lineup of AI agents, each assigned a slice of the recruitment workflow and a human-sounding name. It is a small design choice that says a lot about the company's pitch: hiring is a team activity, and these are meant to feel like teammates rather than a black box.

The business

Where X0PA sits in the market

The model is subscription SaaS, sold to enterprises, government agencies and universities, complemented by recruitment-process-outsourcing and staffing services. That customer mix - heavy on the public sector and education - is where X0PA has staked out territory. Selling AI hiring to regulated buyers demands the one thing many rivals struggle to prove: that the model can be explained and audited. X0PA leaned into that, becoming an early holder of Singapore's AI Verify ethical-AI certification.

It competes in a crowded field that includes HireVue, Eightfold AI, Beamery, Paradox and the recruiting modules of incumbents like Workday and Oracle Taleo. X0PA's differentiation is less about raw automation and more about trust, transparency and a public-sector footprint that stretches from Singapore agencies to engagements in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
