Cole Riccardi
Cole Riccardi is the founder and CEO of Authentic, a New York based insurtech startup that lets software platforms and affinity groups launch their own branded insurance programs. A former investor at Aquiline Capital Partners and a Notre Dame finance graduate, he left the investing side of insurance in 2022 to build what he calls 'captive-in-a-box' - turnkey infrastructure that brings captive insurance, once reserved for large corporations, to gyms, restaurants, salons and other small businesses. Authentic has raised roughly $16 million, including an $11 million Series A led by FirstMark Capital.
Rishi Sharma
Rishi Sharma runs Briza, a Toronto-based commercial insurance API platform that connects carriers, MGAs, brokers and software companies through a single interface. He joined in 2018 as CTO/head of product after a stint leading engineering on the FreshBooks redesign, and stepped up to CEO in December 2022 after co-founder Ben Munro departed. His work focuses on API reliability, quote-and-bind automation, and making legacy commercial lines behave like modern developer infrastructure.
Tim Attia
Tim Attia is the co-founder and CEO of Slice Labs, a New York insurtech he launched in 2015 to sell insurance the way the on-demand economy actually works - in bite-size, pay-per-use chunks bought the moment a homeshare host or rideshare driver needs it. Trained as an electrical engineer at McGill and shaped by three decades moving between consulting firms and insurance carriers, Attia built Slice into a cloud platform (Insurance Cloud Services) that lets incumbents like AXA XL, Progressive, Lenovo and Microsoft spin up digital insurance products, and more recently he has been pushing the company toward AI, machine learning and large language models to automate underwriting and claims.
