Caelius Consulting makes the handoffs work.

A claim trapped in a PDF. A quote stranded between systems. The Salesforce specialist has built a business around the awkward spaces where enterprise software stops being useful.

The trouble begins with a PDF. In a workers’ compensation organization described by Caelius Consulting, claim files arrived bundled together, leaving people to review documents and type information into records. The documents contained what the business needed. Getting that information into a useful shape was another job entirely. Here was a familiar corporate predicament: a business could possess both the information and the software, yet still require a person to carry one to the other.

The quick read / 03 points
  • Caelius implements Salesforce and connects it to the rest of a business through MuleSoft and related data tools.
  • Its public examples tackle manual claims, fragmented insurance quoting and overloaded Salesforce automation.
  • The useful lesson: design the handoff, including the moment a human needs to intervene.

A document needs a destination

Caelius rebuilt the claims workflow around document extraction, Salesforce records and human review. Software split and classified the files. MuleSoft transformed the extracted information for Salesforce. A custom interface put original documents beside extracted fields, so reviewers could correct uncertain results. Confidence thresholds determined when people entered the process.

The company reports an 80% increase in efficiency for record creation and claims review. That is its own case-study result. The revealing detail is the review screen. Someone had considered what an employee would need when the machine became unsure. The exception had a place to go.

That detail helps explain Caelius’s business more clearly than a catalogue of cloud products. It sells the work required to make enterprise technology usable across an entire process. The problem might start in a document, a supplier transaction or a customer record. The assignment is to get it to the next useful step.

The specialist between the systems

Founded in 2017 and based in Frisco, Texas, Caelius sits in the professional-services layer of enterprise software. Salesforce supplies the customer platform. MuleSoft provides integration technology. Caelius helps organizations decide how to configure, connect and operate them. Its services cover strategy, implementation, automation, data management and continuing support.

Co-founders Munish Dadwal and Mankesh Dadhwal are identified publicly as CEO and COO. A 2021 industry profile described a specialist integration business with North American operations and a delivery center in Chandigarh. It also reported a Singapore hub opening that May. Today, the company lists locations in the United States, Britain, Singapore and India.

The competitive pitch is depth across connected platforms. A buyer can choose another specialist, a large systems integrator or an internal team. Caelius’s proposition is that one provider can handle both the Salesforce workflow and the integration behind it. That is especially relevant when the person using the screen and the system supplying its data have different requirements.

When more automation makes less progress

One published project offers a useful complication. A healthcare-sector client’s Salesforce environment had accumulated single-purpose flows. Under heavier loads, transactions failed and updates slowed. Automation itself had become part of the obstruction.

Caelius consolidated the logic into a framework using a before-save flow and an after-save flow per object. The company reports 80% fewer transaction errors on key objects and a 40% reduction in average transaction time for Case updates. Database modification statements fell from five to two per transaction.

The engineering lesson is narrower than “use two flows.” It is to inspect what already runs, remove redundant operations and preserve required business logic. A different installation may need a different architecture. What makes this example interesting is the restraint: the improvement came from simplifying existing machinery.

For a buyer, this is a useful test of a consultancy’s judgment. Ask the team to explain the current failure before describing the replacement. A clear answer should connect an observable symptom, such as slow Case updates, to the operations causing it. The proposed improvement can then be measured against the same symptom. That makes a technical conversation easier for the business owner to follow.

The quote that stopped wandering

In another insurance engagement, agents navigated disconnected systems to assemble quotes. Carrier responses were delayed; information handling invited errors. Caelius used Financial Services Cloud and OmniStudio to build a guided experience, with APIs bringing carrier rate comparisons into Salesforce.

The work connected lead routing, quoting, documents and policy servicing. For an agent, the practical attraction is straightforward: less system-hopping while a customer waits. For management, a shared workflow makes activity and records easier to see. The same integration expertise serves less visible exchanges through Anypoint Partner Manager, which handles B2B transactions across EDI and API formats.

AI has to travel the same roads

Caelius now offers Agentforce implementation and Informatica services covering data integration, master records, quality and governance. Its Smart Sales Ops whitepaper describes turning Slack messages into Salesforce leads with generative AI. The starting point is wonderfully ordinary: useful sales information sitting inside a conversation.

These offerings extend the same underlying task. Information needs a destination, a format and rules for use. Adding an agent raises the stakes of that preparation. Our reading of the claims example is that an automation plan needs an exception plan, with somebody responsible for reviewing what the system cannot resolve.

Buying the work after the software

Caelius earns its place through consulting engagements and managed services. Its materials describe outcome-aligned commercial arrangements and flexible delivery locations. Buyers should scope platform licenses, implementation, migration and continuing support together, then decide which operational result will justify that spend.

The conditions matter. A business with a single straightforward application may have little need for this breadth of integration work. A company with multiple records for the same customer must first settle which record governs the process. The claims design also needs reviewers who can resolve exceptions. These are practical dependencies implied by the architecture, and they belong in the project plan.

Salesforce lists Caelius as a Summit-tier consultant. In June 2026, the firm announced MuleSoft’s Above & Beyond Americas partner award. Those credentials establish ecosystem standing. The more useful buying conversation begins with a stubborn workflow: where does it stall, who repairs it today, and what would a successful handoff look like tomorrow?
