The Story

A career built one rung at a time

Tammy Redpath did not arrive at the top of retail marketing by shortcut. She got there the way the best merchants always have - by starting where the customers are. She began her working life in Target store management, learning the business at the level where product meets person, then carried that grounding upward through nearly three decades at the Minneapolis retailer. By the time she reached the corporate marketing floor, she already knew what the numbers on a slide actually felt like on a sales floor.

That climb produced range most executives never accumulate. Redpath rose to senior vice president of marketing at Target, where she led global marketing strategy, sharpened the customer experience across channels, and helped advance loyalty platforms including Target Circle. Somewhere along the way she also crossed an ocean: in 2017 she was named president of Target India in Bengaluru, taking responsibility for a workforce of roughly 3,500 spanning technology, digital, marketing, finance, and supply chain. It is one thing to run a marketing function. It is another to run a whole operation on another continent, in a different market, with a team many times larger than most people ever manage.

"Target India has brought great value to Target, and I see immense potential for the talent here to make an even bigger impact."
- Tammy Redpath, on being named president of Target India

After 31 years, she did something more surprising than any promotion: she left the sector entirely. Redpath became CEO of Inside Edge Commercial Interior Services, a business about as far from apparel racks as retail leadership gets, and led it through transformation and growth. She served as chief engagement officer at Lakeshore Learning Materials, driving enterprise strategy across people, culture, and capabilities. She hung out her own shingle as an independent leadership and brand consultant. Each move looked like a detour. Together they read like a curriculum - operations, culture, brand, general management - assembled by someone who kept choosing to learn the parts of business she had not yet run.

The figures tell a consistent story: scale, longevity, and a willingness to keep raising the ceiling. She has marketed to millions, managed thousands, and now takes on a coast-to-coast retailer with more than 110 stores across some 30 states and a growing digital and styling business.

The Next Chapter

Why EVEREVE, and why now

In April 2026, EVEREVE named Redpath its chief marketing officer, succeeding Tom Nowak. The Edina, Minnesota-based brand has built its reputation on a specific promise - styling real women's lives, in stores and online, with human stylists and a curated point of view. For a company built on connection, hiring a marketer who spent her career learning what connection looks like at scale is a tidy fit. She arrived the same day EVEREVE also named Jocelyn Miller as chief people officer, a two-hire signal that the retailer is staffing up for its next phase of growth.

I am honored to join Evereve as chief marketing officer in this next phase of growth. Evereve has built a meaningful connection with women, and I'm excited to build on that, expanding our reach and growing a sisterhood of women who feel seen, styled and fully alive.
- Tammy Redpath, on joining EVEREVE

Notice what she chose to emphasize. Not conversion funnels. Not media mix. A "sisterhood of women who feel seen, styled and fully alive." Marketing chiefs are usually fluent in the language of dashboards; Redpath answered in the language of how a customer feels standing in front of a mirror. That instinct - to lead with the person, not the metric - is the through-line from her first days on a store floor to her newest office. Cofounder and co-CEO Megan Tamte framed the hires plainly: "As we continue to grow Evereve and reach more women across the country, bringing in leaders like Tammy and Jocelyn is incredibly meaningful for this next chapter."

Her mandate at EVEREVE is straightforward to state and hard to do: lead global marketing strategy, sharpen brand positioning, and deepen customer engagement across the retailer's stores and digital channels. It is, in a sense, the job she has been assembling herself to do for thirty years - only now the customer is a specific woman, and the brand is small enough to move fast and big enough to matter.
