SecEdge is a Seattle-based digital security company that secures IoT and Edge devices from the silicon up to the cloud. Formed in 2023 by carving Privafy's IoT business out and acquiring embedded-security pioneer Sequitur Labs, the company packages hard problems - device identity, secure boot, key management, over-the-air updates and secure connectivity - into software products like the EmSPARK Security Suite, the EmPOWER lifecycle-management SaaS and SEC-TPM, a firmware TPM built in Arm TrustZone. Led by semiconductor and digital-security veteran Sami Nassar and chairman Rick Clemmer, SecEdge aims to make chip-to-cloud security something device makers can adopt off the shelf rather than build from scratch.
Ian Small
Ian Small is the CEO of Blues, a Boston-based IoT connectivity company backed by $115M in funding including a $25M Sequoia-led round in 2025. A 30-year Silicon Valley veteran who started at Apple in 1989 working on QuickTime VR, Small went on to lead TokBox (Sequoia-backed video communications platform acquired by Telefonica), serve as Global Chief Data Officer at Telefonica overseeing 300M+ customers, and then spent five years as CEO of Evernote transforming the company through a massive technical overhaul before it was acquired by Bending Spoons in 2023. Known as an 'end-to-end operator' with a famous habit of deep customer listening, he joined Blues in June 2025 to lead the company's next phase of growth in making IoT connectivity accessible and affordable for product makers everywhere.
Marc Jones
Marc E. Jones is the Board Chairman of Aeris Communications, a San Jose-based IoT connectivity company he has led since 2005 and served as President & CEO from 2008 through early 2025. A Stanford undergraduate and law school graduate who grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago, Jones transformed Aeris from a company on the verge of collapse — personally investing alongside employees to rescue it — into a global IoT platform managing nearly 100 million connected devices including 41 million connected vehicles for Fortune 500 clients such as Chrysler, Honda, and Bosch. Named by Goldman Sachs as one of the nation's best entrepreneurs in 2012 and 2013, he also serves on the boards of CDW, Ingersoll Rand, Stanford University, and Stanford Health Care, and chairs Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), a nonprofit dedicated to advancing underrepresented minorities into executive roles.
