Rebuilding the plumbing behind bond investing - construction, optimization, trading and compliance in one cloud-native system.
For two decades, equity managers got shiny software while fixed income desks made do with spreadsheets, phone calls, and email confirmations. IMTC - short for the New York fintech IM Technologies Corp - was built in 2017 to close that gap. The company sells a cloud-native platform that pulls the whole bond-investing workflow into one place: constructing portfolios, optimizing them, routing trades, checking compliance before the trade goes out, and reporting on the results afterward.
The pitch is workflow, not a feature list. A portfolio manager can generate an idea, size it across dozens of accounts at once, run it through pre-trade compliance, and send it to the market without leaving the system. IMTC describes itself as the only cloud-native platform dedicated specifically to fixed income - a deliberate contrast to the broad, multi-asset incumbents that treat bonds as one module among many.
"Fixed income experts at heart" - the company's own framing, and the reason its product reads like it was built by people who have actually run a bond book.
Underneath, the platform runs on Microsoft Azure and connects to more than 25 external data and trading sources - Bloomberg for market data, MarketAxess for liquidity, Moody's for ratings, Salesforce for CRM. That managed-data layer is part of the product: IMTC maintains the connections so clients don't have to. The result, the company says, is that firms can customize bond portfolios at scale rather than one painstaking account at a time.
IMTC bundles the bond-desk toolkit into a single platform. Each module hands off to the next, which is the whole point.
Investment decisions across many accounts with scenario analysis, allocation, cash flow modeling and rebalancing.
An AI-enhanced engine that scans multiple portfolios for the best buys and sells while honoring each investor's guidelines.
A trade blotter with ECN and dealer connectivity, trade routing, and automated confirmation processing.
Pre-trade compliance that bakes investment guidelines and strategy adherence directly into the workflow.
Aggregated security masters, live intraday market data and analytics, with flexible control.
Internal and client reporting, performance attribution, composite reports and white-label output.
IMTC sells to two overlapping groups. On the asset-management side, firms use it to launch and run customized fixed income products across taxable and municipal strategies. On the wealth side, advisors and RIAs use it to personalize bond accounts for high-net-worth clients - tax-aware, individually tailored, and delivered at scale rather than one at a time. Reported clients include names as large as Franklin Templeton and T. Rowe Price.
The through-line is customization without the manual labor that used to make it uneconomic. That is what lets a wealth manager offer every client a bespoke bond ladder, or an asset manager stand up a new SMA strategy without doubling headcount.
The incumbents are broad, multi-asset platforms. IMTC's bet is that depth in one asset class beats breadth across all of them.

“The Series A reflects both validation of our technology and the accelerating demand for modern, scalable fixed income tools.”Russell Feldman · CEO, IMTC (paraphrased)
IMTC spent five years developing product and winning clients before taking its first outside dollar. Then it raised twice in three years.
The December 2025 round was led by longtime backer Nyca Partners, with asset manager Lord Abbett joining as a strategic investor - a signal that a large fixed income shop sees value in the tooling. IMTC earmarked the capital for platform R&D, engineering hires, and scaling its separately-managed-account offering. Total disclosed funding now sits above $14.5 million.
