The Dispatch

A CDP That Refuses to Move Your Data

Most customer data platforms start with a demand: hand over your data, and we will store a copy of it in our system. GrowthLoop, a martech company founded in 2015 as Flywheel Software, built its business around the opposite idea. Its platform runs directly on top of the cloud data warehouse a company already owns - Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Databricks or Amazon Redshift - so segmentation, orchestration, measurement and AI all execute against live, governed warehouse data. There are no ingestion pipelines, no duplicate storage, no vendor-managed copy of your customers.

That architecture is called a "composable" CDP, and GrowthLoop is one of the loudest voices in the category. The pitch is aimed squarely at marketers rather than engineers: instead of filing a ticket and waiting for a data team to write SQL, a marketing manager drags and drops attributes in a visual audience builder and the query runs where the data lives. The company describes the whole system as a "Compound Marketing Engine" - the notion that every campaign and experiment should feed the next, so results compound instead of resetting each quarter.

In April 2025 GrowthLoop leaned into agentic AI, unveiling a set of "Growth Agents" that propose audiences, build journeys, and flag optimizations for a human to approve. It is a deliberately supervised flavor of automation: the agents suggest, the marketer signs off. For enterprises nervous about handing campaigns to a model, that review step is the point.

Unleash the power of the world's most innovative brands by closing the loop between people, data, and AI.

What You Can Build

Products & Services

One platform, five moving parts - all executing against warehouse data rather than a walled-off copy.

FLAGSHIP · 2025

Compound Marketing Engine

The agentic platform that unites audience building, orchestration, measurement and AI agents into a single loop where each experiment informs the next.

AI · 2025

AI Studio

A command center where marketers mobilize Growth Agents to organize data, build audiences, construct journeys, analyze campaigns and generate new ideas for human review.

DECISIONING · 2025

Composable AI Decisioning

A causal, Bayesian multi-armed-bandit layer aimed at incremental lift and business outcomes - not campaign-level vanity metrics.

SEGMENTS

Audience Segmentation

A no-code, drag-and-drop builder that runs on governed warehouse data, so marketers create precise segments without SQL or engineering support.

ORCHESTRATION

Universal Journeys

Cross-channel activation to Google Ads, Facebook, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics and messaging tools from first-party data.

ANALYTICS

Insights & Measurement

Attribution and reporting measured directly against warehouse data for real-time, closed-loop results.

Under The Hood

Meet the Growth Agents

A team of AI collaborators that learn from your data and suggest next-best actions - always waiting for a human to approve.

Data Agent

Reads and understands the data in your cloud, writing user-friendly field descriptions and assessing which data is most useful for each audience.

Audience Agent

Creates precise segments from campaign history, traits and attributes, then suggests additions as new insights arrive.

Supervisor Agent

Oversees the other agents, deciding in real time when to activate one or many to perform growth-driving actions.

The Differentiator

Two Roads Out of the Warehouse

Warehouse-native activation is a crowded lane. The nearest peers - Hightouch and Census - share GrowthLoop's core idea that data should stay in the warehouse. Where they diverge is the front door. Hightouch skews technical, often expecting SQL for complex models; GrowthLoop hands marketers a visual builder and asks for no code.

On AI, GrowthLoop bets harder than most, tying optimization to broader business outcomes through causal decisioning rather than campaign-level tweaks. The competitive frame widens from there: large marketing clouds like Salesforce and Adobe are embedding AI decisioning into their own suites, moving toward the warehouse from the opposite direction.

GrowthLoop's answer is focus. It knows exactly who it is for - the marketer who wants independence from the data team - and builds the whole experience around that person.

The Business

Model & Market

GrowthLoop sells B2B SaaS subscriptions to mid-market and enterprise brands, layered on top of the customer's existing data warehouse. Because it is warehouse-native, customers keep their data in Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks or Redshift and pay GrowthLoop for the activation, orchestration, AI decisioning and measurement layer - not for storage.

The company bootstrapped for roughly seven years before The Jordan Company (TJC) made a growth-equity investment in 2022, deepened with a follow-on in January 2026. Public estimates put annual revenue near $10M and third-party trackers report cumulative funding of roughly $94M across rounds. In April 2026 GrowthLoop returned to a founder-led structure, naming co-founders Anthony Rotio and Tameem Iftikhar as co-CEOs.

Worth Knowing

Details That Amuse

Co-founders David Joosten and Chris Sell met while working as marketers at Google - the same company that is now a GrowthLoop customer.

MLB All-Star Mookie Betts sits on the board. The fit is thematic: baseball, like marketing, rewards small gains that compound.

The company spent about seven years bootstrapped before taking its first outside check.

Its AI agents propose audiences and journeys - but wait for a human to approve before anything ships.
