Brillouin Energy
Brillouin Energy is an Emeryville, California clean-technology company developing thermal energy systems based on Low Energy Nuclear Reactions (LENR). Its patented Controlled Electron Capture Reaction (CECR) process uses small amounts of hydrogen, nickel and electricity to generate heat via its Hydrogen Hot Tube (HHT) reactor and proprietary Q-Pulse control system, with helium as a negligible byproduct and no carbon emissions or radioactive waste. Founded in 2009 by Robert Godes, the company aims to commercialize licensable, ultra-clean heat for industrial process, district energy and distributed power applications.
Porifera
Porifera builds forward osmosis membrane systems that concentrate beverages and treat wastewater without heat or pressure. Its proprietary PFO technology removes water from juices, coffee, beer and wine while preserving flavor, aroma and color - cutting energy use up to 80% versus conventional evaporators. In 2025 the company launched Draftfox, a beer concentration and Microkeg dispense system that shrinks a keg by 6x.
Hover Energy
Hover Energy is a Dallas-based clean-energy company that builds patented Wind-Powered Microgrids - rooftop arrays of compact 36 kW turbines that turn a building's own edge into a sail, combined with solar, storage, and an AI-driven control stack. The system is designed to offset most or all of a building's power use on site, delivering resilient, behind-the-meter electricity to commercial, industrial, and data-center customers. Paired with IBM's watsonx and Maximo software and scaled through joint ventures like EverOn Energy, Hover pitches an Energy-as-a-Service path to what it calls 'real zero.'

Magrathea is an Oakland, California clean-tech company rebuilding American magnesium production. Using a next-generation electrolytic process, it makes magnesium metal from seawater and brines with near-zero carbon emissions, aiming to break the West's dependence on Chinese supply for a metal critical to aerospace, automotive, and defense.
