Morse Micro
Morse Micro is a fabless semiconductor company based in Sydney, Australia, that designs Wi-Fi HaLow (IEEE 802.11ah) chips for the Internet of Things. Its sub-1 GHz system-on-chips deliver roughly ten times the range of conventional Wi-Fi at a fraction of the power, letting a single access point connect thousands of sensors, cameras and devices across homes, factories, farms and cities. Founded in 2016 by Wi-Fi chip designers Michael De Nil and Andrew Terry, the company has raised more than US$190 million and ships its award-winning MM6108 and second-generation MM8108 silicon to customers worldwide.
Mauna Kea Semiconductors Corporation
Mauna Kea Semiconductors (MKSemi) is a Silicon Valley fabless chip company building what it calls the world's lowest-power ultra-wideband (UWB) technology - the short-range radio that lets phones, wearables, cars and IoT devices know precisely where they are and which direction they're pointing, down to a few centimeters. Founded in 2019 by semiconductor veterans and headquartered in Cupertino/San Jose with engineering hubs across China, MKSemi sells UWB chips, modules and SDKs, headlined by its highly integrated MK8000 SoC, to device OEMs and ODMs chasing precise location, secure ranging and radar-style sensing on coin-cell batteries.
HYFIX
HYFIX (HYFIX Spatial Intelligence) is a Santa Clara semiconductor startup building an American-made autonomous systems chip that fuses high-precision GNSS positioning, inertial sensing, flight control, encrypted communications and onboard AI into a single system-on-chip. Emerging from the GEODNET decentralized positioning network, HYFIX aims to give U.S. drone and robotics makers a domestic alternative to Chinese-dominated supply chains, with centimeter-accurate location that resists jamming and spoofing.
TDK InvenSense
TDK InvenSense designs the tiny MEMS sensors that let machines feel the physical world - motion, sound, pressure and ultrasound. Founded in San Jose in 2003 and acquired by Japan's TDK Corporation in 2017, it pioneered the integrated 6-axis IMU and ships motion, microphone and ultrasonic sensors into smartphones, wearables, drones, cars, robots and industrial systems. Its work pairs CMOS-MEMS hardware with proprietary fusion firmware and increasingly edge AI, turning raw physics into usable signals for billions of devices.
MIPS
MIPS is a San Jose-based semiconductor IP company with a 40-year heritage in RISC computing. After abandoning its own legacy architecture, MIPS reinvented itself around the open RISC-V instruction set and now builds compute subsystems for autonomous platforms across automotive, industrial, robotics, and edge AI markets. Its Atlas portfolio - spanning Sense, Think, Act, and Communicate building blocks - targets the low-latency, safety-critical demands of what the company calls Physical AI. In July 2025, GlobalFoundries announced a deal to acquire MIPS.

signageOS is the hardware-agnostic operating layer for the world's digital signage networks. Born in Prague in 2016 from a frustration with proprietary device chaos, it gives developers a single set of APIs to write one HTML5 app and deploy it across 50+ signage platforms - Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, BrightSign, ChromeOS and the rest - while ops teams remotely monitor, troubleshoot and update every screen from one cloud console.
