Founded in 2021 and headquartered in New York, the company is used by 4 of the top 10 U.S. cancer hospitals and raised a $22M Series B led by Battery Ventures in May 2026.
Jan Witowski
Jan Witowski is the co-founder and CEO of Ataraxis AI, a New York precision-medicine company building AI models that read cancer tissue to predict how a patient's disease will behave and which treatments will help. A physician-scientist with an MD and PhD, he spent a decade in medical imaging research at Harvard, Massachusetts General Hospital, and NYU Langone before spinning Ataraxis out of NYU in 2023. The company's first product, Ataraxis Breast, is billed as the first AI-native prognostic and predictive test for breast cancer, and it raised a $20.4 million Series A in 2025 led by AIX Ventures.

DeepScribe is a San Francisco-based health-tech company building an ambient AI medical scribe that listens to natural doctor-patient conversations and turns them into complete, structured clinical notes in real time. Founded in 2017, the company has narrowed its focus to oncology, where it says it serves roughly 90% of U.S. community oncology organizations, and layers on tools for coding, pre-visit prep, and specialty-specific customization. The pitch is straightforward: let clinicians look at their patients instead of their keyboards, and cut the after-hours documentation that drives burnout.
Sarim Khan
Sarim Khan is co-founder and CEO of Triomics, a New York-based startup building oncology-specific AI agents that read the thousands of pages inside a cancer patient's chart so that clinicians don't have to. A chemical engineer trained at IIT Roorkee with a brief stint researching polymer gels in brain tissue at MIT, he started Triomics in 2021 with college friend Hrituraj Singh, went through Y Combinator's W21 batch, and by mid-2026 had raised $22 million in Series B financing led by Battery Ventures and deployed the platform at Memorial Sloan Kettering, Yale Cancer Center, and four of the top ten U.S. News cancer hospitals.
