Shanel Fields
Shanel Fields is the founder and CEO of MD Ally, a public safety telehealth company that plugs virtual care directly into the 911 system so non-emergency callers get routed to the right help instead of an ambulance. A Cornell graduate and Wharton MBA, she spent her first year doing ride-alongs with dispatchers and first responders before building the platform solo. The daughter of a volunteer EMT, she has raised more than $23M, taken MD Ally through Techstars, joined the Techstars board of directors, and been featured by The New York Times and Good Morning America.
Sylvia Hastanan
Sylvia Hastanan is the founder and CEO of Greater Good Health, a Los Angeles medical group built entirely around nurse practitioners delivering primary care to seniors. A Penn-trained nurse who picked up Wharton business courses on the side, she spent nearly two decades inside HealthCare Partners, DaVita, and Optum before starting the company almost by accident during the pandemic. Greater Good Health has since raised a Series B and grown to roughly 120 employees, betting that an overlooked workforce can fix access where physician shortages can't.
Reymundo Espinoza
Reymundo C. Espinoza is the CEO Emeritus of Gardner Health Services, the San Jose community clinic network he ran for 37 years before stepping down in January 2024. The son of a single farmworker father from Coachella, he carried a Stanford political science degree and a Berkeley public health degree into a small nonprofit serving Mexican farm and cannery workers, and left it a 10-site, $90 million system caring for more than 46,000 of Silicon Valley's poorest residents.
Joanna Strober
Joanna Strober is the co-founder and CEO of Midi Health, the first menopause startup to achieve unicorn status, raising $100M in Series D funding in February 2026 at a $1B+ valuation. A former Bessemer Venture Partners general partner and Sterling Stamos managing director turned entrepreneur, she built Midi Health after her own year-long struggle to get a perimenopause diagnosis in her late 40s. Midi now serves 230,000+ patients across all 50 states through a network of 500+ clinicians, with care covered by approximately 80% of PPOs. Named to TIME100 Health 2025, CNBC Changemakers 2025, and Forbes 50 Over 50 2023, Strober is also a published author (Getting to 50/50) and a former founder of Kurbo Health, the first digital therapeutic for childhood obesity, which she sold to WW.
