Founded in San Francisco by serial healthcare entrepreneur Vik Kashyap, the company was named a TIME Best Invention of 2024 and is deployed across more than 300 senior care communities in North America.

Bold is a Los Angeles-based digital healthy-aging company that delivers personalized, clinically validated exercise, nutrition, and virtual-care programs to older adults. Available at no cost to roughly 12 million Medicare members through partnerships with Medicare Advantage plans and provider groups, Bold treats movement as medicine: its programs have been shown to reduce falls by up to 46%, increase weekly physical activity by 182%, and earn 91% member satisfaction. Founded by Amanda Rees and Hari Arul, the company has raised $27 million from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Khosla Ventures, and Rethink Impact.

Amanda Rees is the co-founder and CEO of Bold, a Los Angeles based digital fitness platform that delivers personalized, science-based exercise programs to help older adults build strength, ease pain, and prevent falls. A Princeton-trained chemical and biological engineer who is also a longtime dance and tai chi instructor, Rees built Bold after spending most of her twenties caring for her grandmother and discovering how few preventive tools existed for aging well. Bold partners with Medicare Advantage plans and has raised about $27 million in total funding, including a $17 million Series A.

SafelyYou is a San Francisco-based AI company that uses unobtrusive in-room sensors and computer vision to detect, respond to, and help prevent falls among residents in senior living and memory care communities. Spun out of UC Berkeley's AI Research Lab in 2015 by founder and CEO George Netscher, the platform pairs 24/7 monitoring with clinical consultation to reduce falls, ER visits, and operating costs while keeping older adults safer in place.

George Netscher is the Founder and CEO of SafelyYou, a San Francisco-based AI company that uses computer vision to prevent falls and elevate dementia care across senior living communities. Netscher launched the company in 2015 as doctoral research at UC Berkeley's AI Research Lab, driven by his family's direct experience with Alzheimer's disease - his grandmother and aunt both had the condition, and his mother cared for them while working as a physician. SafelyYou's ambient sensor platform now serves nearly 1,000 senior living communities, has raised over $134 million in total funding including a $43 million Series C in 2025, and has been shown to reduce falls by 40% and fall-related ER visits by up to 80%. In May 2025, Netscher was elected to the Argentum Board of Directors, the leading national senior living industry association.
