Caleb Watney
Caleb Watney is the co-founder and co-CEO of the Institute for Progress (IFP), a nonpartisan Washington, D.C. think tank that turns ideas from progress studies into policy. He runs IFP's work on metascience, high-skilled immigration, and emerging technology, hunting for the policy levers that could rebuild American state capacity and speed up the rate of scientific breakthroughs. Before IFP he led innovation policy at the Progressive Policy Institute and was a tech-policy fellow at R Street and a graduate research fellow at Mercatus.
Diane Coyle
Diane Coyle is the Bennett Professor of Public Policy at the University of Cambridge, where she co-directs the Bennett Institute and spends her days arguing that the numbers we use to run the economy are quietly out of date. A former economics editor at The Independent turned academic, she has written ten books, including the surprise hit GDP: A Brief but Affectionate History and her 2025 work The Measure of Progress. She has helped shape UK competition policy, sat on the BBC Trust, advised the Competition and Markets Authority, and was made a Dame in 2023 for services to economics.
Alexandr Wang
Alexandr Wang is the co-founder of Scale AI and current Chief AI Officer at Meta Platforms. Born in 1997 to Chinese immigrant physicists in Los Alamos, New Mexico, he dropped out of MIT at 19 to build Scale AI, which became the backbone of AI training data infrastructure for companies like OpenAI, Google, Meta, and the U.S. Department of Defense. By 24, he was the world's youngest self-made billionaire. Scale AI grew to a ~$29B valuation after Meta's $14.8B strategic investment in 2025, and Wang now leads Meta's AI superintelligence efforts.
Sriram Krishnan
Sriram Krishnan is the Senior White House Policy Advisor on Artificial Intelligence under President Trump, appointed January 2025. A Chennai-born engineer turned VC, he is one of few tech operators to have held senior product roles at Facebook, Snap, and Twitter simultaneously. As a General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) from 2021 to 2024, he opened the firm's first international office in London. He co-authored the American AI Action Plan and co-hosts The Aarthi and Sriram Show podcast with his wife. Named a Time 'Architect of Artificial Intelligence' in 2025.
Gwendolyn Carpenter
Gwendolyn Carpenter is the Head of Artificial Intelligence Division at the European Investment Bank (EIB), where she defines and executes the Group's AI strategy, builds its enterprise AI platform, and leads EU AI Act compliance efforts. A veteran European policy practitioner, she has shaped digital innovation agendas across smart cities, social innovation research, and cybercrime policy - most recently turning her expertise toward the frontier challenge of governing AI inside one of the world's largest development finance institutions.
Dan Hendrycks
Dan Hendrycks is the Executive Director of the Center for AI Safety (CAIS), the UC Berkeley PhD who created MMLU - the benchmark that shaped how the world measures AI intelligence - and invented GELU, the activation function running inside BERT, GPT, and virtually every major AI model.
