Company / The business of getting started

Leads and Feeds wants to build the business behind the buzz

The Bengaluru marketing firm now connects campus ideas, nonprofit visibility and startup investment. Its most interesting proposition is what happens after somebody pays attention.

A marketing company’s name usually tells you where the transaction ends. Leads arrive. Feeds fill up. The client gets a report. Visit Leads and Feeds today, however, and the front door opens onto three rather different rooms: university incubation, nonprofit support and startup investment. The interesting question is why a firm associated with clicks and campaigns now wants a place much earlier in a business’s life.

THE QUICK READ
  • Digital marketing remains part of the offer, from search visibility to paid media.
  • CampusXcelerator organizes student entrepreneurship into successive stages.
  • Songbird Ventures pairs operating support and investment with equity and possible royalties.

The connection is easier to see if you think about attention as a beginning. A student attends a workshop. A donor encounters a cause. A prospective customer clicks an advertisement. Each moment creates an opening; none completes the job. Someone must decide what follows. Leads and Feeds’ current positioning brings those follow-up tasks under one business umbrella. It is an intriguing arrangement precisely because its parts are familiar.

The agency enters the classroom

Founded by Faraz Moosa, Leads and Feeds describes itself on LinkedIn as a digital marketing firm serving startups and multinational companies. Its specialties include branding, content writing, web design, search optimization, lead generation and conversion optimization. Those services put it in a crowded market: businesses can hire an agency, assemble freelancers or build an internal team. A long menu alone offers little distinction.

The newer university proposition gives the menu a different context. CampusXcelerator proposes a progression from student curiosity to ventures ready for investor consideration. The university supplies the setting; the program supplies activities, mentoring and coordination. Its appeal is partly administrative. An institution can want more entrepreneurship without wanting faculty members to invent every workshop, chase every registration and organize every pitch event themselves.

This is where the marketing background becomes relevant. Getting people into a room, giving them a reason to return and making the next step intelligible are useful skills on a campus. The comparison is an interpretation of the company’s offers, rather than a reported account of how Moosa chose the strategy. Still, it explains why the classroom sits comfortably beside the campaign brief.

The less glamorous job description

A public recruitment notice makes the campus offer unusually tangible. Leads and Feeds sought a Student Startup Mentor for an on-site role in Anekal, Bengaluru, advertising annual compensation of ₹4.5 lakh to ₹5 lakh. The schedule ran Monday through Saturday. The position combined coaching with event coordination, stakeholder relationships and a live dashboard of participating startups. Mentoring, here, comes with a considerable amount of keeping track.

The same notice described an ambition to incubate more than 100 student startups annually. Read that as a target. More revealing than the number is the combination of responsibilities: one person is expected to guide founders while keeping the program moving. A brilliant visiting speaker may produce an enjoyable afternoon. Someone following up on Tuesday can make that afternoon useful.

“Our approach follows a phased milestone funnel, moving students step-by-step from raw curiosity to investment readiness.”CampusXcelerator program description

For anyone running a founder community, the transferable lesson is mundane and valuable: assign ownership of the intervals between events. Record what a team is testing, who is helping and what must happen next. A calendar full of gatherings can look wonderfully industrious while leaving an individual founder exactly where they started.

The price can include a piece of the company

Songbird Ventures, presented as powered by Leads and Feeds, extends the proposition into investment. Its published model combines capital, mentoring and support across marketing, sales and technology. In return it takes equity and may arrange royalties. That bargain deserves careful reading: a founder is discussing ownership and potentially future payments alongside the help being offered.

Its eligibility rules are specific. The site seeks startups less than three years old, registered under MSME or Startup India schemes, with at least two full-time founders. Those conditions narrow the audience considerably. A solo operator seeking occasional advertising help and a young team seeking capital are different customers, even if both arrive through the same website.

For a qualifying team, the practical attraction is the possibility of addressing several early business tasks together. Marketing, sales and technical decisions affect one another. The sensible comparison therefore covers the whole arrangement: what work will be delivered, who will deliver it, what decisions founders retain and how the equity or royalty terms operate. An introduction to an investor is useful; the terms determine whether the relationship is useful for you.

A cause needs a next step, too

The third route is L&F for Nonprofits, which the homepage places under social impact and purpose-led innovation. Its presence broadens the company’s audience beyond commercial acquisition. A nonprofit’s communications must make a mission understandable and give supporters a way to participate. The desired action may involve engagement with a cause rather than a purchase, so the brief needs different language and a different measure of success.

The agency’s published marketing work supplies more conventional tools. Its performance marketing offer includes paid media, search optimization, social media and lead generation; its video production material covers planning, filming and editing. These are practical services for organizations that need people to understand an offer and respond. Expertise is presented as a mix of specialists, audience research, creative work and reporting.

Choose the action before the applause

There is also a public glimpse of the founder in the wider education market. Alliance University listed Moosa among mentors for Alliance Startup Sprint 2026, a residential entrepreneurship program scheduled from May 31 to June 6. That places him in a campus entrepreneurship setting beyond the company’s own descriptions. It should be read as a listed mentor role, without turning it into a claim about the company’s program outcomes.

For prospective clients, Leads and Feeds’ breadth makes the first conversation especially important. Decide whether the job is customer acquisition, nonprofit communication or venture development. Those needs call for different deliverables and different commitments. Campus incubation also depends on participation over time; a succession of workshops cannot substitute for founders testing their ideas.

The useful idea to borrow is simple enough to write on a meeting agenda: after attention, what? Set a next action, name the person responsible and decide how progress will be recognized. Leads and Feeds has arranged its current business around several answers to that question. The reader can start with one.
