A hardware manufacturer had an Amazon problem. The products were there. The channel was not working as it should. Listings were inconsistent, distributors were rubbing against online pricing, and the operational work was getting in the way. In Forward Solutions’ telling, the eventual breakthrough came from getting those pieces to cooperate. Salesmanship, it turns out, can look a lot like housekeeping.
- Forward Solutions runs specialist sales businesses for manufacturers.
- It combines local relationships with shared marketing, ecommerce and data tools.
- The useful lesson: fix the handoffs between channels before adding another one.
That is a useful introduction to a company whose name reveals very little about its work. Forward Solutions helps manufacturers reach buyers through field representatives, distributors, inside sales and digital channels. It occupies the awkward space between making something useful and persuading the right organization to purchase it. The awkwardness is the business opportunity.
First, make the channels agree
In its hardware case study, Forward Solutions says its PJ Boren division coordinated marketplace positioning, pricing, listings, inventory, fulfillment and reporting. The reported result was fivefold growth in Amazon B2B sales. Chargebacks fell from 5.4% to 0.4%, with claimed annual savings of $166,000. Those are company-published results for one unnamed manufacturer, rather than a forecast for the next client.
The interesting detail is the combination. Better product descriptions addressed discovery. Distributor coordination addressed friction. Operational changes addressed the cost of doing business on the marketplace. A sales problem can contain several different problems, each belonging to a different department. Forward Solutions’ proposition is to connect the people responsible for them.
Buy the address book. Keep the expertise.
The company’s history explains its shape. In June 2017, private-equity firm Osceola Capital formed Industrial & Institutional Sales Group to consolidate a fragmented market of sales agencies. Bull’sEye joined in 2018. The platform became Avision Sales Group in 2020. The Forward Solutions umbrella name followed in January 2022, alongside the announced additions of OneSolution and J.J. Shearer.
These were businesses with existing knowledge and relationships. A manufacturer seeking access to a new region could work with people who already understood its buyers. By August 2023, Osceola reported 22 acquisitions. The additions included ElectroRep and R/B Sales in electrical supplies, plus Madigan McCune and Upper Midwest Utility Sales in utility and telecom markets.
The pattern continued beyond those sectors. Philip J. Boren joined in November 2024, adding ecommerce and club-channel expertise. ProCom Sales followed in November 2025 with telecom relationships across nine Southeastern states. In April 2026, Sales Lane brought lighting experience in California and Northern Nevada, including layouts, job walks and field audits. Expansion here means adding particular capabilities in particular places.

A chef is a sales tool, too
Look at the portfolio and the abstraction becomes more tangible. Avision handles facility supplies and foodservice disposables. OneSolution works in industrial, safety and construction markets. RelyPak focuses on industrial packaging. StruXur serves broadband, telecom and utilities. Curate sells foodservice equipment through culinary expertise, dealer relationships and hands-on demonstrations. These markets share distribution problems, but their selling conversations require different knowledge.

Curate makes the point especially well. Its 2025 expansion material described 14 culinary centers, 10 showrooms and coverage across 31 states. Demonstrating equipment gives an operator something more concrete than a specification sheet. The wider organization supplies shared resources; the specialist supplies the context. The appeal depends on both surviving the combination.
The machinery behind the handshake
Forward Solutions also builds tools for its sellers. REVit provides customer histories, pipeline information and revenue insights. SaleSpark tracks engagement with sales content, helping representatives tailor conversations to what interests a buyer. Forward Solutions University supplies online learning. These are supports for a service business whose work still depends on people understanding products and accounts.
The analytics offering extends to data preparation, governance, architecture and Power BI reporting. Marketing services include positioning, websites, search, advertising and sales collateral. C3 Team handles B2B strategy and digital marketing; Xpand Demand provides inside sales. The competitive proposition is coordination across those functions, alongside the coverage an independent regional agency might provide.
When the website helps the distributor
A named customer makes the mechanism easier to see. Visual Workplace, an industrial manufacturer of lean communication systems, worked with C3 Team and OneSolution on ecommerce, campaigns and distributor relationships. Forward Solutions’ January 2026 announcement reports that revenue doubled in the first year and increased another 50% the following year. It puts monthly inbound leads at 80 before the changes and 294 afterward, at a reported $5 per lead.
The telling detail: some buyers discovered the business online and completed their purchases through distributors. The work included lead sharing, consistent pricing and updated sales tools. Read that company-published account as a case of channels supporting one another, with results specific to that engagement. Five dollars was the reported lead cost, rather than the total cost of the transformation.
Renting a route to market
The economic pitch is straightforward. Forward Solutions describes outsourced representation as a variable, commission-based alternative to maintaining an internal sales team. A manufacturer buys access to expertise and relationships while handing over some responsibility for execution. Its alternatives include hiring directly, assembling regional agencies, or managing separate marketing and ecommerce providers.
The practical lesson is to map where a sale gets stuck. Agree who owns the account, who receives the lead, and how prices travel across channels. Then choose coverage that matches the actual buyer. That is an inference from these cases, and it has limits: without relevant relationships, usable data and willingness to coordinate, a larger network simply creates more handoffs. Forward Solutions’ value rests on making those handoffs easier.
