Fez Zafar
Fez Zafar is Chief of Staff at Mercor, the AI talent marketplace that vets, matches, and pays experts powering frontier AI labs. A 2024 Harvard graduate who was elected First Marshal of his class, he helped scale Mercor through one of the fastest revenue ramps on record and now leads hiring and cross-functional operations across its San Francisco and New York teams. Before Mercor he was an analyst at Village Global, a research assistant to economist Larry Summers, and a campus builder known for comedy, community events, and a student interview podcast.
Ashin Shah
Ashin Shah is the co-founder and CEO of Made Card, a New York fintech building the first credit card designed for the full homeownership lifecycle. After a decade in investing - Bain Capital Credit, an activist hedge fund, and a principal seat at Valinor Management - Shah teamed up with fellow Harvard math alum Christophe Van to attack a gap hiding in plain sight: the largest expenses in American life, mortgages and home costs, earn no rewards. The Made Essential Visa Signature Preferred Card pays homeowners for on-time mortgage payments and everyday home spending, with points redeemable toward lower closing costs. In November 2025 the company launched with $8M+ in seed funding co-led by Jump Capital and Village Global, plus a nationwide distribution deal with Fairway Home Mortgage.
Valerie Huynh
Valerie Huynh is the co-founder and CEO of Reviva, an AI-native, all-in-one software platform built for wellness and medspa businesses - the scheduling, charting, payments, and client management that aesthetic practices run on. A Stanford-trained operator who logged time as a venture investor at NEA and on the go-to-market team at Assembled, she started Reviva after watching her mom, an integrative-medicine practitioner and compounding pharmacist, wrestle with software that was never built for her. Reviva raised a $2M pre-seed led by Bling Capital and Village Global in June 2024.
Iain Usiri
Iain Usiri is the co-founder and CEO of Ramani, a Tanzanian fintech building financial infrastructure for Africa's consumer-packaged-goods supply chains. A Stanford computer science graduate and former Salesforce product manager, he gave up his US immigration status and flew home one-way in 2019 to start the company with his brother Calvin and friend Martin Kibet. Ramani gives micro distribution centers free point-of-sale and inventory software, then monetizes through lending - and in 2022 raised a $32M Series A led by Flexcap Ventures after passing through Y Combinator's W20 batch.
Amrit Rao
Amrit Rao is a General Partner at Village Global, the early-stage venture firm backed by Reid Hoffman, Jeff Bezos and a network of luminary LPs. A Stanford-trained biologist turned Wall Street investor turned advanced-manufacturing founder, he writes pre-seed and seed checks across tech and consumer, drawing on a dozen years of public-market investing and the bruises he collected building a furniture startup.
Erik Torenberg
Erik Torenberg is a General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), where he joined in April 2025 after a16z acquired his media network Turpentine. A serial founder and investor, he was a first employee at Product Hunt, co-founded Village Global (a $100M VC fund backed by Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg), founded On Deck (a fellowship network for founders), and built Turpentine into a leading tech media network before its acquisition. Known for his wide-ranging intellectual curiosity spanning technology, culture, politics, and philosophy, he now leads a16z's media and ecosystem efforts including the New Media Fellowship and the live news venture MTS.
