Fulcrum is a San Francisco AI platform that automates the unglamorous backbone of insurance brokerages - policy checking, proposal generation, certificate issuance and carrier sales prep - so account managers can scale their books of business without scaling headcount. Founded in 2023 by Arjun Mangla and Sambhav Anand, it raised $25M in combined Seed and Series A led by CRV in January 2026 and is in use at nearly half of the top 50 U.S. brokerages.
Nick Shelly
Nick Shelly is the co-founder and CEO of Apero Health, a Y Combinator-backed (S19) medical-billing and revenue-cycle company in San Francisco that helps healthcare practices get paid faster and gives patients clearer bills. Before software, he was a computer scientist with an unusually wide runway: a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate, a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford, a Stanford CS researcher in computer networking, and an engineer at Apple, Nicira, and Forward Networks. He turned that systems-and-networks training toward one of the least glamorous, most broken corners of American life - the medical bill - and built Apero with co-founder Jacinda Shelly to fix the plumbing behind it.
Selene Casabal
Selene Casabal is the Managing General Partner and Chief Venture Officer at Fuel Venture Capital, a Miami-based firm managing approximately $550 million across five funds. A former Silicon Valley founder whose retail tech startup was acquired by b8ta, she became an AI super angel with investments in Perplexity, Replit, Impulse Space, and Serve Robotics before joining Fuel VC in October 2025 to lead its $100M+ AI-focused deployment strategy. A Sequoia Capital Scout and South Park Commons fellow, she is on a mission to rewrite the gender imbalance in artificial intelligence one investment at a time.
Arjun Mangla
Arjun Mangla is the Co-Founder and CEO of Fulcrum, an AI-powered workflow automation platform that is quietly transforming how commercial insurance brokers operate. A Columbia-trained computer scientist turned McKinsey consultant, Mangla left a high-flying advisory career to tackle one of corporate America's most overlooked inefficiencies: the manual, error-prone drudgery of insurance policy checking and proposal generation. Under his leadership, Fulcrum has captured nearly a third of the top 50 U.S. insurance brokers as customers, raised $25M in total funding led by CRV, and grown revenue 5x in six months - all by making insurance brokers dramatically faster and more accurate without replacing the humans who know their clients.
Divanny Lamas
Divanny Lamas is a Harvard-educated Latina technologist who co-founded and led Transposit as CEO, building a DevOps process orchestration platform that raised $50.4M and famously staffed 50% female engineers. Before Transposit, she spent seven years scaling Splunk's billion-dollar sales operation across product management, customer success, and sales engineering. She is also a managing director at Sutter Hill Ventures and an advisor at cray.vc, bringing operator instincts to early-stage enterprise bets in Palo Alto.
