Automox is a cloud-native IT automation and endpoint management company that helps organizations patch, configure, and secure Windows, macOS, and Linux devices from a single platform. Founded in 2015 in Boulder, Colorado, its agent-based, server-free approach automates patch management and vulnerability remediation across distributed fleets, and its Otto generative-AI assistant lets IT teams build automation scripts (Worklets) in plain language. The company serves more than 1,500 customers across 30-plus countries and has raised roughly $154 million, including a $110 million Series C led by Insight Partners in 2021.
IP Fabric
IP Fabric is a vendor-neutral automated network assurance platform that discovers, verifies, visualizes, and documents large-scale enterprise networks. It builds an interactive digital twin of the actual network state - across on-premises and hybrid cloud - so engineers can validate intent, catch misconfigurations, keep the CMDB accurate, and prove compliance without manual audits. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Boston with engineering roots in Prague, the company raised a $25M Series B in 2023 and serves enterprises including Red Hat, Air France, and Major League Baseball.
Adam Jacob
Adam Jacob is the co-founder of Chef (the infrastructure automation company acquired for $220M) and current CEO of System Initiative, a next-generation DevOps platform using digital twins to visually model and simulate infrastructure. A self-taught systems engineer who ran ISPs as a teenager and built automated infrastructure for 15 startups before co-founding Opscode/Chef in 2008, Jacob created the Chef, InSpec, and Habitat open-source tools that helped define the DevOps movement. Today he advocates for rebuilding DevOps from the ground up, arguing that tooling and culture must evolve together - and that Infrastructure as Code, as practiced, is still broken.
