Inceptio Technology
Inceptio Technology is a developer of full-stack autonomous driving systems for heavy-duty trucks, headquartered in Shanghai with an R&D center in Fremont/Santa Clara, California. Founded in 2018 by Julian Ma, it works with truck OEMs to mass-produce Level 3 highway-capable trucks and operates one of the largest real-world autonomous freight fleets in the world. Its proprietary XUANYUAN and T-NOA systems power more than 4,000 trucks that have logged over 400 million kilometers of commercial operation for customers including JD Logistics, Nestle, Budweiser and Deppon Express, as it charts a data-driven roadmap toward scalable Level 4 autonomy.
Nirvana Insurance
Nirvana Insurance is a San Francisco-based, AI-native commercial trucking insurer that combines real-time telematics data with proprietary risk models to price, underwrite, and manage fleet insurance policies. Founded in 2021 by ex-Samsara, MIT, and Wharton operators, the company turns the data trucks already generate into safer roads, cheaper premiums, and faster claims.
Joshua Carter
Joshua Carter is the Co-Founder and CEO of Aperia Technologies, a Hayward, California-based cleantech company he helped launch in 2010 after spinning out technology from Stanford University. Under his leadership, Aperia developed the Halo Tire Inflator - a self-powered, bolt-on automatic tire inflation system that uses a wheel's own rotation to maintain optimal tire pressure on commercial trucks and trailers. The company has logged over 100 billion miles with the Halo system, saved more than 716,000 metric tons of CO2, and secured over $148 million in total funding, including a $45 million growth equity round in 2023. In 2025, Aperia signed an exclusive automatic tire inflation agreement with Goodyear for its Tires-as-a-Service platform. Carter holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara and an MS in Design Methodology from Stanford University.
