Quentin Scrimshire
Quentin 'Q' Scrimshire is the co-founder and CEO of Modo Energy, a London-based B2B SaaS platform that benchmarks and forecasts the performance of grid-scale battery energy storage assets. A Manchester-trained electrical engineer who cut his teeth on offshore wind and gas-fired plants at Centrica before running Kiwi Power's European storage business, he now leads a roughly 80-person team building what he describes as the 'benchmarking and valuation operating system for global electrification.' In December 2025 Modo closed a $33M Series B led by Molten Ventures.
Anode Technology Company
Anode Technology Company is a San Francisco startup building AI-orchestrated, battery-native mobile microgrids that deliver clean, quiet, on-demand power as an alternative to diesel generators and fuel-delivery rentals. Paul Huelskamp
Paul Huelskamp is the co-founder and CEO of Anode Technology Company, a San Francisco startup building AI-orchestrated mobile microgrids and battery energy storage systems that deliver grid-independent electricity to EV depots, data centers, construction sites, and live events. A renewable-energy financier turned hardware founder, he previously built and ran Moxion Power, which raised more than $110 million to replace diesel generators before it went bankrupt in 2024. In 2025 he returned with a leaner, software-first venture and $9 million in seed funding from Eclipse Ventures, determined to 'finish what we started.'

Founded in 2025 by former Tesla powertrain and energy chief Drew Baglino, its flagship Heron Link converts medium-voltage electricity to usable low-voltage power in a modular, software-integrated package, replacing the century-old iron-core transformer. The company targets utility-scale solar, grid-scale batteries, and hyperscale AI data centers, and is building a 40-gigawatt US factory to meet a backlog of orders.

Founded in 2015 by three former GE Energy Storage leaders, it pairs hands-on field services with the RenewanceConnect software platform so energy-storage and EV operators can track assets, stay compliant, and retire batteries safely instead of letting them become environmental liabilities.
