The AI operating system for private capital - one platform where fund managers run fundraising, investor relations, admin, deals and portfolios without the spreadsheet chaos.
Private capital is where a great deal of the world's money quietly lives - the venture funds, private equity firms, family offices and real-estate vehicles that never appear on a stock ticker. And for years, much of it has been run on spreadsheets, email threads and PDFs passed between people who deserved better tools. Asset Class was built for exactly that gap.
Founded in 2020 by Ferdinand Roberts, the company set out to give private capital firms a single operating system for the entire life of a fund. Roberts spent more than two decades in financial-services technology, with senior roles at Yahoo! and Cisco, and watched how disjointed fundraising, investor relations, deal management and portfolio reporting could become. Asset Class is his answer: connect all of it, in one place.
The platform's centerpiece is the Fund Operating System - FOS - which threads together prospecting, fundraising, subscription management, investor relations, fund administration, deal flow and portfolio management. Sitting on top is a white-label investor portal that gives limited partners centralized access to opportunities, documents, secure data rooms, capital calls and distributions.
Rather than force firms to abandon the software they already run, Asset Class delivers its platform as a modular layer built on Salesforce. Firms keep the CRM they know, and gain private-capital workflows that would otherwise take a large internal team to assemble. It is a pragmatic bet: meet customers where they already are.
The traction has followed. The company reports servicing more than 300 funds representing roughly $33 billion in assets under management, with a network of over 15,000 accredited investors. Named clients include Griffin Capital and Brookwood Financial Partners - the kind of institutional users that don't sign lightly.
More recently, Asset Class has leaned hard into artificial intelligence. It embedded AI agents that draft investor communications, generate reports, extract data from documents and score investor relationships - the administrative work that consumes a fund team's week. In November 2024 it partnered with Palantir to integrate the AIP platform and Foundry Ontology into FOS, and has since repositioned around AI-first, usage-based "Action Packs." The pitch is refreshingly concrete: fewer spreadsheets, faster answers, less re-keying.
Runs the whole fund lifecycle - fundraising, subscriptions, investor relations, fund admin, deal flow and portfolio management - inside one AI-powered platform, with a branded portal for investors.
Private equity, venture and private-credit firms, family offices, real-estate and hedge funds, RIAs and wealth managers, and the fund administrators who serve them.
Fund operations are scattered across spreadsheets, inboxes and disconnected tools. When an LP asks a question, the answer is buried. Asset Class makes it one source of truth.
Asset Class gives us a scalable solution that supports our commitment to delivering best-in-class service.
B2B SaaS. Asset Class sells subscription access to its fund operating system and investor portal, priced in tiers - per-seat licenses, a branded portal, and usage-based AI "Action Packs." Delivered as a modular solution built on Salesforce, it scales from emerging managers to established funds.
Asset Class competes in the private-markets back-office race alongside Juniper Square, Carta, Allvue, Dynamo, Anduin and Passthrough. Its wedge: combining a modern LP portal, deep Salesforce integration and embedded AI to serve the full multi-asset lifecycle rather than a single slice.
