The vegan bakery and the telemedicine startup make an unlikely pair. One deals in cake; the other in care. Yet in July 2025, Aris reported that both belonged to a group of four startups it had helped obtain financing through Italy’s ON programme. Beauty and innovative services completed the quartet. Their common problem was practical: how to turn a proposed investment into something a funding institution could assess.
- Aris connects business strategy with finance, digital operations, privacy, and marketing.
- Its assignments reach from wineries to universities and aspiring entrepreneurs.
- Its funding support continues into expense reporting after approval.
According to Aris’s account, the four projects obtained financing equal to 90% of their investment, combining grants and interest-free loans. The interesting detail is the sequence. First came a strategy for each business, then a search for a suitable measure, then the application. The programme followed the project. That order matters when an attractive funding opportunity threatens to become the entire business plan.
The application is the middle of the story
Aris operates in the space between an entrepreneur’s intention and an institution’s requirements. Its subsidized-finance service starts by studying the company and its development plans. Staff identify suitable calls, prepare the project and documentation, compile the application, and assist with the funding body’s review. After disbursement comes expense reporting. A cheque has an afterlife, and it frequently involves receipts.
Its description of the work highlights timing: documents should be ready before submission, because some calls have limited budgets that can disappear quickly. This is an argument for preparation. A promising idea still has to fit the rules, arrive on time, and survive scrutiny. Aris’s contribution is to organize those dependencies into an assignment someone can actually carry out.

There is also a useful wrinkle for anyone tempted to copy the 2025 result. Invitalia announced that grant resources for ON had been exhausted; applications submitted from July 1, 2026 would receive subsidized loans only. The old success story remains a historical result. A new applicant faces a different financing mix. The programme’s current terms deserve their own reading.
Wine, classrooms, and the same untidy desk
The breadth of Aris becomes clearer in its published project portfolio. Casa Vinicola Zonin is listed for strategy, digital processes, new finance, and marketing. Terre da Vino adds subsidized-finance consulting to a similar combination. Those are separate professional disciplines, but inside a company they can be parts of the same decision: how to fund a change, organize it, and sell what follows.
The portfolio also lists Università Giustino Fortunato for strategy, CRM implementation, and marketing. Here, the machinery is a customer relationship management system. The operational question concerns how relationships and communication are organized. For a Rome hospitality group, Aris lists funding support for refurbishment alongside digitalization, a website, and e-commerce. The work crosses departmental boundaries because the client’s project crosses them.
“Il nostro approccio è confidenziale, ma non invasivo.”
Aris’s wine-sector interview, 2021
“Our approach is confidential, but not intrusive.”
In its wine-sector interview, Aris describes trying to understand a company without losing sight of its family character. The phrase above is revealing. Consulting enters somebody else’s habits, relationships, and assumptions. The stated ambition is to change what needs changing while understanding the organization that must live with the result. It is a service philosophy grounded in listening.
That puts Aris beside several familiar alternatives: a management consultant, a funding specialist, a digital agency, or an outsourced privacy adviser. A buyer could assemble those skills separately. Aris presents them together, with the company’s plans supplying the connection. The appeal is clearest when one assignment needs several kinds of expertise. A narrowly defined task may need only one specialist; a refurbishment involving finance, commercial channels, and administrative change presents a different coordination problem.
Sometimes the adviser gets an operating job
Education supplies a more unusual example. In February 2021, Aris announced that it was taking on general management for POK Italia, the digital education project. The announcement identified engineer Francesco Scandale as Aris president and POK Italia general manager. Its project list pairs that responsibility with startup acceleration and strategic consulting. Here, the consultancy’s involvement extended into an operating role.

Its startup service offers market analysis, business-model selection, planning, monitoring, and exploration of financing options. The oddly grand name Cercasi Alessandro Magno belongs to a related initiative linking storytelling, training, digitalization, and finance for Made in Italy businesses. An Alexander the Great reference is quite a flourish for business advice. The underlying tasks are considerably more earthbound.
Growth brings a data problem with it
Aris’s digital-process work includes scanning paper records, modernizing IT systems, organizing access permissions, and changing administrative and commercial processes. Its privacy service covers audits, impact assessments, documentation, training, and continuing DPO support. These services sit naturally beside marketing: attracting customers creates information that an organization must know how to handle. A new channel is also a new responsibility.
The marketing offer includes positioning, social listening, content, and sales campaigns. Aris also describes a Sky partnership for national advertising planning. Banking-dispute work addresses another pressure point, beginning with an advertised free assessment before communications and negotiation support. The business model is professional service work: tailored assignments, continuing advice, and training. Buyers are purchasing people’s analysis and involvement.
A March 2026 article on Aris’s website makes its organizational argument through a small visual joke. A boss watches people haul a load; a leader helps them pull; an engineer brings a truck. The point is to reconsider the system producing the effort. Read alongside its process services, that metaphor gives the practice a coherent position: examine how work happens before demanding more work. It also asks the client to accept changes to responsibilities and routines.
For the client, this makes the first conversation consequential. Bring the investment plan, the existing process, and the commercial objective into the room together. A funding adviser needs to understand what will be bought; a process adviser needs to understand who will use it. Aris’s service descriptions repeatedly return to that initial analysis and to goals agreed with the customer.
A habit worth borrowing
Aris’s finance course provides a neat expression of its practical emphasis: six three-hour lessons and a two-hour examination, with exercises in developing fundable projects. For a reader, the transferable habit is simple. Describe the investment, identify the requirements, assign responsibility for the documentation, and plan the reporting before celebrating approval. This approach requires a client willing to share information and do the work. Without that cooperation, even an elegant application leaves the business unchanged.
