Vetnio is a Swedish AI copilot that automates the paperwork of veterinary medicine. It listens to consultations between vets and pet owners, writes structured clinical notes, drafts client communications, and offers science-backed diagnostic prompts - giving clinicians back roughly two hours a day. Founded in 2024 by longtime friends Arman Karegar and Max Henry Xie, it is one of the few European veterinary companies backed by Y Combinator (W25).
Sebastian Gabor
Sebastian Gabor is the co-founder and CEO of Digitail, an AI-native, cloud-based practice management platform for veterinary clinics. A serial entrepreneur from Romania, he previously built the development studio ITGambit to nearly 100 engineers and co-founded the civic-tech non-profit Code4Romania. He started Digitail in 2018 with Ruxandra Pui after a vet handed him his dog's vaccination schedule on an illegible sticky note - a moment that led him to discover most animal hospitals still ran on software from the 1990s. Today Digitail serves more than 10,000 veterinarians and millions of pets, and in November 2025 raised a $23M Series B led by Five Elms Capital.

Mascotte is a Miami-based, tech-enabled operations company that gives veterinary clinics dedicated remote staff - CSRs, receptionists and vet techs - trained to each practice's own workflows and assigned exclusively to it. Branded internally as 'Mascotteers', these full-time team members handle phones, scheduling, prescription coordination, lab follow-ups and client communication inside the clinic's existing systems, promising up to 50% cost savings versus a local hire while reducing staff burnout. Founded in 2023 by former CarHopper CEO Bora Hamamcioglu and backed by a $1.2M pre-seed led by Nuwa Capital, Mascotte positions itself as the virtual front desk and back office for modern, high-growth veterinary practices.
Alexander Kates
Alexander Kates is the cofounder and CEO of Vetcove, the free ordering platform that lets veterinary practices, zoos, aquariums and animal welfare groups shop every supplier at once - think Kayak, but for the stuff that keeps animals healthy. He built it with his brother Mitch after watching the inventory manager at their father's equine veterinary practice juggle 30-40 vendor tabs by hand. Before veterinary supply chains, Kates was a digital strategist who advised Fortune 500 companies, taught executives on four continents, and co-wrote a bestselling marketing textbook. Vetcove now employs hundreds and serves a large slice of US veterinary hospitals.

The platform is free for clinics and nonprofits; Vetcove earns revenue from vendors and hospital groups. It serves more than 23,000 veterinary practices across the United States.
