Colin Perry
Colin Perry is the founder and CEO of Perry Weather, a Dallas-based weather safety platform he started in 2013 after studying meteorology at Texas A&M. What began as a weather consulting firm became a software and hardware company that helps more than 5,000 organizations - including schools, cities, golf courses, and pro leagues like the NFL, MLB, and PGA of America - monitor hazardous conditions, automate their safety policies, and keep compliance records. The company has raised roughly $21 million, including a $15 million Series B in 2024, and has sent more than 200 million weather alerts.
Jasson Casey
Jasson Casey is the CEO and cofounder of Beyond Identity, a New York-based identity security company that builds passwordless, phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication designed to make identity-based attacks impossible. An engineer with a PhD from Texas A&M and more than two decades in security and networking, Casey has held senior technical leadership roles at IronNet Cybersecurity and SecurityScorecard, founded the software-defined networking ventures Flowgrammable and Compiled Networks, and served as a cybersecurity fellow at CSIS. He now argues that flaws in identity systems, not passwords alone, are the root cause of modern breaches and that cryptographically device-bound credentials are the way to stop phishing, credential theft, and AI deepfakes at the source.
Michael G. Johnson
Michael G. Johnson is the founder, president and CTO of Sea Machines Robotics, a Boston company building autonomous control and perception systems for commercial ships and workboats. A Texas A&M marine engineer who spent two decades in offshore oil, heavy-lift ocean transport and salvage at Crowley and TITAN Salvage, Johnson started Sea Machines in 2015 after seeing how avoidable human error was on an Arctic oil-spill response job. In November 2024 he handed the CEO seat to David 'Chip' Wasson and moved into a technology and product role focused on defense and international expansion.
Tim Moss
Tim Moss is the Chairman and CEO of Talkmap, a Dallas conversational-intelligence company that turns raw call-center calls and chats into structured, real-time customer insight using patented AI. A Texas A&M political science graduate with more than 30 years in technology and financial services, he previously ran the turnaround of the $800M+ carrier services company Syniverse as COO, launched a new organization as an Ericsson senior vice president, and founded IMG Venture Group and the consultancy Integrity Management Group. Talkmap raised an $8 million Series A led by Stage1 Ventures in February 2022, part of roughly $17.6 million total.
Michael McShane
Michael (Mike) J. McShane is a biomedical engineer who has spent close to 25 years trying to put readable chemistry under the skin. As James J. Cain Professor II and head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M University, he builds injectable, biomaterials-based optical biosensors - often called 'smart tattoos' - that glow in response to glucose, oxygen and other body chemistries so doctors can monitor patients continuously and minimally invasively. A Fellow of IEEE, SPIE, BMES and AIMBE, past president of the IEEE Sensors Council and founding chair of the IEEE BioSensors conference, he won the 2012 NIH Director's Transformative Research Award and the 2023 IEEE Sensors Council Technical Achievement Award.
Kanu Gulati
Kanu Gulati is a Partner at Khosla Ventures investing in enterprise AI, robotics, and autonomous systems. With a PhD in electrical engineering, over a decade as a research scientist at Intel and Cadence, and experience as a founding engineer at multiple acquired startups, she bridged from deep tech to venture capital through a cold email that landed her an internship at Khosla Ventures. An NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship recipient with 35+ peer-reviewed publications, three co-authored books, and an Erdős number of 3, she now leads investments in companies like Waabi, Genesis AI, and PolyAI.
