Josh Lewis and the peculiar trouble with paperwork
At Newfront, Josh Lewis watched skilled insurance professionals spend hours retyping documents. Sensible grew out of his search for a tool that would let them get back to the work they knew how to do.
Document Automation Has Escaped the Back Office
Adobe, Solimar, Bottomline, Oracle, Crawford and Formstack are turning forms, statements and PDFs into programmable workflows. The payoff is less clerical work, but the real test is whether every output stays accurate, accessible and auditable.
PacerPro
PacerPro is a legal-technology company that turns the U.S. courts' notoriously clunky PACER system - and the fragmented world of state court dockets - into clean, automated data flows for law firms. Launched in 2014 as an overlay on PACER, it now delivers real-time court filings, PDFs, and metadata directly into firms' document management and knowledge systems. Its products (PACER Overlay, PDF2Go, Manifold, and StatePro) are used by roughly half of the Am Law 100 to eliminate the manual grunt work of retrieving, naming, tagging, and distributing court documents.
