Ximena Aleman
Ximena Aleman is the co-founder and Co-CEO of Prometeo, the largest open banking API platform in Latin America. A former journalist from Uruguay, she pivoted from covering entrepreneurs to becoming one, building infrastructure that connects over 1,200 financial institutions across 11 countries through a single API. Under her leadership Prometeo has won the trust of banks like JP Morgan, Santander, Citi and BBVA and raised backing from PayPal Ventures, Samsung Next and others. She is a vocal advocate for financial inclusion and for founders from overlooked corners of the region.
Ilan Bajarlia
Ilan Bajarlia is the CEO and co-founder of nocnoc, a Montevideo-based cross-border e-commerce facilitator that connects more than 2,500 global brands and sellers from the U.S. and China with shoppers across Latin America's fragmented marketplaces. A former dLocal and AstroPay business developer, he built nocnoc from a $300,000 friends-and-family seed into a company that has raised roughly $22 million, led by PayPal Ventures, and operates the largest cross-border stores in the region across Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Argentina.
Alan Descoins
Alan Descoins is the CEO of Tryolabs, a Montevideo-born AI consultancy that grew from four people in 2009 into a 100+ person firm building custom machine-learning systems for clients like Nvidia, Hyundai and Ulta Beauty. A self-taught coder since age 12 and a Computer Engineering graduate of Universidad de la Republica, he was named to TIME's 100 Most Influential People in AI in 2025.
