Li Sun
Li Sun is the founder and CEO of Shennon Biotechnologies, a San Francisco single-cell immunotherapy company that profiles millions of immune cells in hours to pinpoint the rare T cells and antibody targets that fight cancer. A physicist by training (PhD from Harvard's Weitz lab, M.Eng from MIT), she spent five years as a deep-tech venture investor at Bessemer and Foundation Capital before building the platform herself. Shennon emerged from stealth in March 2023 with a $13M seed round led by DCVC.
Animesh Koratana
Animesh Koratana is the founder and CEO of PlayerZero, an AI platform that acts as an immune system for large code bases, catching and fixing bugs before they ship. He started the company out of Stanford's DAWN lab, where he researched data-intensive machine learning systems under Matei Zaharia and Peter Bailis. In 2025 PlayerZero raised a $15M Series A led by Foundation Capital, backed by the CEOs of Dropbox, Figma, and Vercel. Koratana's bet is simple and contrarian: when AI writes most of the code, software quality becomes the hardest and most valuable problem in engineering.
Laird Russell
Laird Russell is the co-founder and CEO of ExaCare AI, a New York-based company building an AI operating system for post-acute care. After a brief Wall Street and consulting run at Goldman Sachs and Bain & Company, the former Brown University hockey player turned his attention to the messiest corner of healthcare: the paperwork, handoffs, and admissions decisions that govern how seniors move between hospitals, skilled nursing, and home care. ExaCare's AI agents now run inside roughly 1,500 to 2,000 facilities, have processed more than two million patients, and pulled in a $30 million Series A led by Insight Partners in October 2025.
Ashu Garg
Ashu Garg is a General Partner at Foundation Capital in Palo Alto, where he writes the first check into deeply technical, pre-revenue founders building AI-first enterprise companies. He was an early investor in Databricks and six unicorns including Cohesity, Eightfold, Amperity, Turing, Anyscale, and Alation. He hosts the B2BaCEO podcast and convenes Foundation's annual CEO Summit.
Joanne Chen
Joanne Chen is a General Partner at Foundation Capital, a Palo Alto-based venture capital firm, where she leads the Enterprise practice with a focus on AI-first B2B applications and data platforms. The daughter of Chinese immigrants - a mathematician father who came to North America after Tiananmen Square and a computer scientist mother - Chen built her first client webpage at age nine, studied electrical engineering at UC Berkeley, and went from Cisco engineer to Wall Street banker to startup co-founder before landing in venture capital. She became Foundation Capital's second female General Partner in its 26-year history in 2021 (the first since co-founder Kathryn Gould), has backed category-defining companies like TubiTV (acquired by Fox for ~$500M), Jasper.AI, and Tonkean, and is a recognized voice on AI investing through TEDx talks and podcast appearances.
