Michael Woo

Michael Woo is the co-founder and CEO of Applied Labs, a New York-based startup building AI agents that handle customer support and operations work as end-to-end 'digital employees.' Employee #20 at Scale AI, where he ran the core data product and led a 30-person operations-scalability team, Woo left in January 2024 to start Applied Labs with engineer Soham Waychal. The company raised a $4.2M seed led by Abstract in January 2025, with backing from Point72 Ventures, Outlander, Tetra, and angels including Vercel CEO Guillermo Rauch and Modal CTO Akshat Bubna.
