Toyin Ajayi
Dr. Toyin Ajayi is a physician, co-founder, and CEO of Cityblock Health, a tech-enabled primary care company built for the 10% of patients who consume 50-60% of all healthcare spending - people on Medicaid with complex physical, mental, and social needs. Born in Boston, raised in Nairobi by a Nigerian physician father who worked through the AIDS crisis, Ajayi trained at Stanford, Cambridge, and King's College London before founding a healthcare nonprofit in Sierra Leone at 25. She co-founded Cityblock in 2017 out of Alphabet's Sidewalk Labs, grew it to a $5.7 billion valuation and $1 billion in annual revenue, and took the CEO reins in 2022. Recognized on CNBC's 2025 Changemakers list and elected to the National Academy of Medicine in 2024, she is reshaping what American healthcare owes to its most overlooked patients.
