The San Francisco startup began as an Airbnb-like marketplace for home preschools. The more interesting business emerged when states asked it to build the plumbing - licensing, staffing, payments and search - behind the childcare system itself.

Founded in 2013, its SaaS suite covers enrollment and fees, attendance, curriculum and child development, teacher management, finance and parent-school communication, and is complemented by the Taidii Diilight parent app and the VAMS vitals-and-attendance device. Taidii is an ECDA-approved school-management vendor and says it captures over half of Singapore's private preschool market, with a growing footprint across China, Malaysia, the UAE, Australia and Southeast Asia.
