Electric trucks are arriving faster than megawatts. Terawatt’s answer is a network of powered depots that turns years of permits, trenching and utility negotiations into one line on a fleet operator’s monthly bill.
Anode Technology Company is a San Francisco startup building AI-orchestrated, battery-native mobile microgrids that deliver clean, quiet, on-demand power as an alternative to diesel generators and fuel-delivery rentals. Founded in 2024 by Paul Huelskamp and Eric Hanson - veterans of failed battery startup Moxion Power - Anode pairs purpose-built hardware (its mobile battery energy storage system, or mBESS) with proprietary software and AI services to serve EV fleet charging, construction sites, data centers, and live events. The company emerged from stealth in September 2025 with a $9M seed round led by Eclipse.
EV Realty develops, owns, and operates high-powered EV charging hubs - 'Powered Properties' - for commercial truck and van fleets across California. The company secures grid power, real estate, and hardware in one package so logistics operators can electrify Class 8 trucks without waiting years for utility interconnects.
L-Charge designs, manufactures, and operates scalable off-grid ultrafast EV charging solutions. Using modular power units that run on natural gas, renewable natural gas, and other low-carbon fuels, the company delivers Charging-as-a-Service to commercial fleets, ports, airports, school districts, and construction sites - bypassing utility queues and grid bottlenecks.
Steve Kelley is a serial clean-energy entrepreneur and CEO of L-Charge, the Sunnyvale-based pioneer of off-grid ultra-fast EV charging for commercial fleets. With six successful startup exits and over two decades building energy and mobility ventures, Kelley co-founded Green Charge Networks (acquired by Engie), scaled InCharge Energy's revenues nearly tenfold, and in October 2025 took the helm at L-Charge to push its grid-free Charging-as-a-Service model nationwide. Under his leadership, L-Charge closed a $10 million funding round in January 2026, enabling fleet operators to electrify in weeks rather than months by bypassing grid bottlenecks entirely.
