Lafayette 148 New York is a privately held, vertically integrated luxury womenswear house founded in SoHo in 1996. Named for its original address at 148 Lafayette Street, the brand designs, produces, sells and fulfills clothing, footwear and accessories under one roof - from its Brooklyn Navy Yard headquarters to its owned atelier in Shantou, China. Known for intelligent, understated tailoring, luxurious fabrics and inclusive sizing across petite, missy and plus ranges, it serves professional and style-conscious women through its own boutiques, e-commerce site, AtelierDirect styling service and select luxury retailers.
Ellie Cunningham
Ellie Cunningham is the CEO of Canoa, a Brooklyn-based design-technology company building a browser canvas that unifies mood boards, scaled floor plans, real product data and FF&E schedules for interior designers. A Pratt-trained interior designer who spent years running global design operations at WeWork, she stepped up from COO to chief executive in October 2024 and is steering Canoa toward a circular, low-carbon future for commercial furniture, where good pieces get reused instead of dumped.
Qunnect
Qunnect is a New York-based deep-tech company building hardware that turns ordinary telecom fiber into scalable quantum networks. Its room-temperature, field-deployable devices distribute entangled photons over existing infrastructure - no cryogenics or vacuum chambers required. The flagship Carina product suite powers real-world quantum testbeds in New York and Berlin, and is sold to customers across finance, energy, telecom, and defense.
Noel Goddard
Noel Goddard is the CEO of Qunnect, a Brooklyn-based quantum networking company building hardware that turns ordinary telecom fiber into quantum-secure networks - at room temperature, no exotic cooling required. A biophysicist with a Rockefeller PhD and a Harvard fellowship, she taught physics at Hunter College, founded two biotech startups, and worked as a deep-tech seed investor before joining Qunnect in 2020 as COO and then CEO. Under her, Qunnect commercialized the world's first room-temperature quantum memory, ran a 34km entanglement link over live New York City fiber, and raised an oversubscribed Series A led by Airbus Ventures.
