Inside the Artist
Megan has explained that she operates through three distinct alter egos, each as real to her as the others. Understanding which one you're dealing with is half the experience.
The commanding persona. Inspired by Pimp C's alias Tony Snow. This is the version that walks into rooms and knows exactly what she owns. Assertive, sharp, no apologies.
The party girl. The one who coined the phrase that became a cultural movement. Fun, energetic, and completely unapologetic about wanting to have a good time on her own terms.
The reserved one. The girl who sat in the back of class. The daughter who respected her parents and enrolled in college while building a rap career at the same time. Still there. Still real.

In Her Own Words
Confidence literally starts from yourself. You have to go look in the mirror at yourself. If you don't like what you see, you're going to give off that energy.
I don't feel like I'm in competition with anybody. If I'm worried about beating somebody else, I'm not going to be the best version of me.
To be a Hottie you gotta have a lot of self-love, a lot of confidence, you gotta be able to put your foot down. Hotties are supposed to turn other people into Hotties too.
We gotta break these double-standards and get women to loosen up a bit. We gotta show them that we can do what we want to do how we want to do it.
The Details That Matter
Her mother Holly Thomas ("Holly-Wood") was a rapper who brought Megan to recording sessions instead of daycare. The studio was literally her playground.
She is only the second female rapper in Grammy history to win Best New Artist. The first was Lauryn Hill - in 1999. That is a very short list.
She keeps Instagram and Twitter off her personal phone for her own mental health. Prefers TikTok and Pinterest privately. The woman maintains boundaries.
Her French Bulldog 4oe has his own Instagram with over 200,000 followers. That is more than most humans. He did not have to earn a degree to get them.
She is a devoted anime fan who cosplays characters from My Hero Academia and Naruto. The Hot Girl contains multitudes and most of them have excellent taste.
She is writing a horror movie script. Because she loves horror films and apparently conquering music, academia, fashion, and Broadway was not quite enough.
She founded the Pete and Thomas Foundation on her 27th birthday - named for both her late parents. She turned her grief into infrastructure.
Her long-term ambition includes building assisted living homes for those in need across Houston. The degree in Health Administration was not just for the cap and gown.
She created badbitcheshavebaddaystoo.com - a mental health resource website for her fanbase. Domain name of the year, every year, without question.
As a quiet kid in elementary school she was bullied. She defended a classmate being bullied for being gay in middle school. The transformation from that kid to this artist is the whole story.
Bigger Picture
Most artists take a leave of absence and never go back. Megan graduated. With a B.S. in Health Administration from Texas Southern University in December 2021, while simultaneously having Grammy Awards and Billboard chart-toppers to her name. She went back to TSU in 2023 to hand out scholarships. She earned it, she paid it forward, full stop.
Launching Hot Girl Productions in 2024 was not a side project - it was the move. After legal battles with 1501 Certified Entertainment over her contract, she ended up controlling her masters and her direction. "Hiss" went to #1 under her own banner. The most powerful position in the music industry is not Grammy winner. It is label owner.
The Pete and Thomas Foundation serves underserved Houston communities across education, housing, and health. In 2025, on the foundation's third anniversary and her 30th birthday, it awarded $1,000 grants to 30 nonprofits. The "Savage" remix raised $2.5M for COVID relief. She consistently redirects resources toward the city that made her.
