Betting that visibility beats the middleman
Garrett Fienberg runs Truveris on a single, stubborn idea: employers deserve to see exactly what their pharmacy benefits cost, and competition - not opacity - is what brings those costs down.
Truveris describes itself as a pharmacy cost containment company. In plain terms, it has built an independent, data-led technology platform that opens up the pricing inside pharmacy benefit managers, the intermediaries that sit between employers and the drugs their employees take. Where most of that market runs on information the buyer never sees, Truveris turns pharmacy claims and PBM contracts into something an employer can actually read, question, and negotiate against.
Fienberg is the person now steering that mission. He joined the company in 2021 as head of growth operations, was elevated to Chief Operating Officer in March 2024, and stepped into the CEO seat in 2025. It is a fast climb, but a logical one for someone whose entire career has been about building the engine that makes a business grow.
Pharmacy costs are one of the most complex drivers of benefit spend.Garrett Fienberg, CEO of Truveris
That complexity is the whole reason Truveris exists. Employers spend enormous sums on prescription drug coverage, yet the pricing behind it is layered with rebates, spread, and contract terms that are hard to compare. Fienberg's answer is not more complexity - it is clarity, delivered through data and independent analysis.
A "Center of Excellence" for pharmacy expertise
In 2026, under Fienberg's leadership, Truveris formally launched a Center of Excellence - a cross-functional team pulling together clinical strategy, PBM contract procurement and oversight, and data analytics under one roof. The goal is to give employers and benefit consultants access to deep expertise they would otherwise have to assemble piece by piece.

An operator across four industries
Fienberg did not come up through pharmacy. He came up through building and selling companies, and that outsider's route may be the point. His career has crossed software, energy services, professional sports media, and healthcare technology - and each chapter taught a version of the same lesson he now applies at Truveris: growth follows trust, and trust follows transparency.
Before Truveris, he was VP of Sales and Marketing Operations at Phreesia, a publicly traded healthcare SaaS company, where he drove roughly 50% annual sales growth and grew the sales development team from six people to more than 125 in five years. Earlier, he co-founded two venture-backed companies and served as President of Fulltime Fantasy Sports, which Sports Illustrated/Maven acquired in 2014.
