Aprisium
Aprisium is a Singapore deeptech startup that builds on-site, real-time contaminant detection systems for water and other fluids. Using patented electrochemical sensors paired with AI analytics, it lets water utilities, industrial manufacturers, data-center operators and shipping firms detect pollutants - including heavy metals and PFAS - at the source in minutes rather than shipping samples to a lab and waiting days. The company raised an oversubscribed US$7M Series A in 2024 and deploys across Singapore, the Philippines and Australia.
OptiRTC (Opti)
Opti (OptiRTC, Inc.) is a Boston-area software company that makes stormwater infrastructure smart. Its cloud platform - built around a technique it calls Continuous Monitoring and Adaptive Control (CMAC) - links sensors, valves, and weather forecasts to actively move water in ponds, tanks, and detention systems before, during, and after storms. Spun out of engineering consultancy Geosyntec in 2014 and acquired by global infrastructure firm Aliaxis in 2022, Opti helps cities, utilities, developers, and engineers cut flooding, reduce combined-sewer overflows, and improve water quality with existing infrastructure rather than costly new construction.
Alyson Watson
Alyson Watson is the CEO and Chair of the Board of Woodard & Curran, a Portland, Maine-based integrated science, engineering, design-build, and operations firm specializing in water and environmental challenges. A Stanford-trained chemical engineer and licensed PE, she became the firm's third CEO in 2021 — and its first woman to hold that title — after more than 20 years leading water resources projects and building environmental consulting teams across the western United States. A self-described 'water brat' with roots in the industry, Watson is a passionate advocate for clean water access, outcome-based contracting, and employee ownership, guiding a firm of 1,300 people across 27 offices nationwide.
