Born from a failed quest to learn dumplings from a Chinese grandmother, the company connects guests with vetted home cooks - 95% of them women - across dozens of countries for private meals, cooking classes, and market tours. A Dartmouth and UC Berkeley Haas MBA who worked with Alice Waters and Google.org before launching, Lawrence turned a travel frustration into a business that funnels income to local women while preserving family recipes that might otherwise vanish.
Natalie Gibralter
Natalie Gibralter is a New York-based product executive currently serving as VP of Product, AI Innovation for Microsoft Experience and Devices. She built her reputation as the first Product Manager at Squarespace, scaling the company's commerce platform through a decade of 10x growth to IPO. Before tech, she founded TrailTalks, a nonprofit bridging young Israeli backpackers with international peers, and helped launch KIND's social mission. An Oxford-trained philosopher turned product leader, she was named to Crain's New York Business 40 Under 40 in 2022 and is known for building empowered, outcome-focused teams at the intersection of people and technology.
Aigerim Shorman
Aigerim Shorman is VP of Product Management for Meta's Horizon product, where she leads the platform connecting billions of people across virtual worlds. Born in Kazakhstan, she bootstrapped her way from community college to USC, taught with Teach For America, worked at UBS, and co-founded Triptrotting - a travel startup that raised $1.8M and grew to 150+ countries - before joining Meta where she built the avatar system used by 3+ billion people. One of the most senior women in Meta's metaverse organization, she's also an angel investor backing early-stage consumer and social startups.
