John Sjölund is the CEO and co-founder of Luna Diabetes, a San Diego medical-device company building a small overnight patch pump that automates insulin dosing for the tens of millions of people who use pens rather than pumps. A Swedish-American inventor named on 30-plus patents, he previously founded Timesulin with his brother Andreas (a co-creator of Skype), sold it to Bigfoot Biomedical in 2017, then built the Bigfoot Unity connected dosing system that Abbott acquired in 2023. In August 2025 Luna raised a $23.6M Series A led by Vensana Capital.
Emil Eifrem
Emil Eifrem is the co-founder and CEO of Neo4j, the company he built from a cocktail-napkin sketch on a 2000 flight to Mumbai into the world's leading graph database platform.
