Ephraim Luft
Ephraim Luft is the co-founder and CEO of Togetherhood, a New York-based platform that helps schools, residential buildings and community spaces source, schedule and manage high-quality enrichment programs taught by vetted independent teaching artists and coaches. He built the company with his wife Danielle after pandemic remote learning collapsed for their own family in 2020, prompting them to rent space, hire teachers and build a classroom from scratch. Before Togetherhood, Ephraim was Chief Product Officer at luxury fashion platform Farfetch, where he sat on the executive board through its roughly $7B IPO, and earlier co-founded and led Circle of Moms, a parenting social network acquired by POPSUGAR in 2012. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Fahad Jalal
Fahad Jalal is the founder and CEO of QLU.ai, a San Francisco AI platform that lets executive recruiters describe an ideal hire in plain English and surface qualified candidates in seconds rather than months. A Stanford computer scientist with a Wharton MBA, he scaled a business unit at Mentor Graphics from zero to $100M ARR in two years and has exited multiple startups to Fortune 100 companies. At QLU.ai he is building tools that automate prospect research and outreach while insisting human judgment stays at the center of hiring.
Michael Lai
Michael Lai is the CEO and co-founder of Sitejabber, a consumer review platform that has served more than 100 million shoppers and collected over 10 million reviews, and of SmartCustomer, an unbiased brand discovery tool launched in 2025. A Stanford computer scientist and Harvard MBA, he started Sitejabber in 2007 after a co-founder couldn't tell whether an online medical-equipment seller was a scam. His work sits at the intersection of consumer trust, transparency, and the messy fight against fake reviews and AI-generated content.
Nick Shelly
Nick Shelly is the co-founder and CEO of Apero Health, a Y Combinator-backed (S19) medical-billing and revenue-cycle company in San Francisco that helps healthcare practices get paid faster and gives patients clearer bills. Before software, he was a computer scientist with an unusually wide runway: a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate, a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford, a Stanford CS researcher in computer networking, and an engineer at Apple, Nicira, and Forward Networks. He turned that systems-and-networks training toward one of the least glamorous, most broken corners of American life - the medical bill - and built Apero with co-founder Jacinda Shelly to fix the plumbing behind it.
Samir Raiyani
Samir Raiyani is the CEO and founder of IP Author, a Fremont, California legal-technology company using generative AI and large language models to automate patent drafting, office-action responses, prior-art search and evidence-of-use analysis for patent attorneys and corporate IP teams. A Stanford-trained computer scientist and serial entrepreneur, he previously founded and ran Dolcera, one of the world's largest patent-analytics firms, was a Director at SAP Research in Palo Alto, and founded the healthcare startup MediSpark. With more than a dozen patent applications to his name, Raiyani has spent two decades at the intersection of intellectual property and software, and now positions IP Author as a human-centered AI co-pilot that cuts patent drafting time by 40-60% while keeping the attorney in control.
