SecEdge is a Seattle-based digital security company that secures IoT and Edge devices from the silicon up to the cloud. Formed in 2023 by carving Privafy's IoT business out and acquiring embedded-security pioneer Sequitur Labs, the company packages hard problems - device identity, secure boot, key management, over-the-air updates and secure connectivity - into software products like the EmSPARK Security Suite, the EmPOWER lifecycle-management SaaS and SEC-TPM, a firmware TPM built in Arm TrustZone. Led by semiconductor and digital-security veteran Sami Nassar and chairman Rick Clemmer, SecEdge aims to make chip-to-cloud security something device makers can adopt off the shelf rather than build from scratch.
Binarly
Binarly is a firmware and software supply chain security company that reads the code no one else looks at - the layer below the operating system. Its AI-powered Transparency Platform analyzes firmware binaries to surface known and unknown vulnerabilities, malicious implants, misconfigurations and cryptographic weaknesses, then builds a genuine software bill of materials by reconstructing dependencies from the binary itself rather than trusting a manifest. Founded in 2021 by veteran reverse engineers Alex Matrosov and Claudiu Teodorescu, the company has disclosed hundreds of high-impact firmware vulnerabilities, including the widely covered PKfail Secure Boot flaw.
Frank Ferrante
Frank Ferrante is the CEO of ForwardEdge ASIC, a Lockheed Martin subsidiary dedicated to advancing U.S. domestic semiconductor chip design. A 30-year veteran of the semiconductor industry, Ferrante has held leadership roles at Intel (Senior Director of Military, Aerospace and Government), Wolfspeed (VP of Worldwide Automotive Sales and Marketing), and Altera. He is a vocal advocate for U.S. advanced manufacturing policy, having advised policymakers on the CHIPS Act, SHIP, and RAMP-C initiatives. Under his leadership, ForwardEdge ASIC achieved U.S. Government Trusted IC Vendor Status in February 2026 and selected the MIPS S8200 for mission-critical autonomous platform ASICs.
