Sixscape Communications
Sixscape Communications is a Singapore-based cybersecurity vendor specializing in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) automation and post-quantum readiness. Founded in 2014 by cryptography veteran Lawrence Hughes, the company builds digital certificate-based products for secure email (S/MIME), password-less authentication, IoT device identity and unified communications. Its patented Identity Registration Protocol (IRP), assigned IANA port 4604, automates the request, issuance and management of X.509 certificates so enterprises can deploy trusted digital identities in seconds rather than weeks. Sixscape sells through a 100% partner-centric model spanning system integrators, resellers and certificate authorities, and positions its IDcentral platform for certificate lifecycle management and cryptographic posture management in a market bracing for shorter TLS certificate lifespans and the migration to quantum-safe algorithms.
Smallstep
Smallstep is a San Francisco cybersecurity company building the first hardware-backed device identity platform. Founded in 2016 by Mike Malone, it grew out of the widely used open-source step-ca project - a private certificate authority and ACME server - and now sells enterprises a way to bind access to Wi-Fi, VPNs, SaaS apps and SSH to verified hardware. Its co-developed ACME Device Attestation standard, built with Google at the IETF, uses hardware co-processors to stop credential theft, phishing and impersonation. Smallstep has raised $26M and was a 2025 RSAC Innovation Sandbox top-10 finalist.
Infisical
Infisical is an open-source security platform that helps engineering teams manage secrets, certificates, and machine identities in one place. Born out of Y Combinator's W23 batch, it replaces scattered .env files and hardcoded API keys with a unified, MIT-licensed stack covering secrets management, dynamic secrets, rotation, secret scanning, PKI, KMS, SSH, and privileged access. Used by companies like Hugging Face, LG, and Lucid, it secures billions of secrets and is backed by Elad Gil, Google's Gradient Ventures, and Y Combinator.
Intertrust
Intertrust is a Berkeley-based trusted computing pioneer that builds the cryptographic plumbing for connected devices, media, and energy systems. Talal Shamoon
Talal G. Shamoon is a Silicon Valley-based CEO, electrical engineer, and computer scientist who has led Intertrust Technologies since 2003. A Cornell-trained PhD, he helped pioneer digital rights management in the late 1990s and has since built Intertrust into a global leader in trusted computing, data governance, and IoT security. Under his leadership, Intertrust's patents and products now underpin billions of licensed devices worldwide, spanning entertainment, energy, and connected infrastructure.
