Joe McGuckin
Joe McGuckin founded ViaNet in 1994 out of a small office on Pear Avenue in Mountain View, California, initially serving Linux startups hungry for internet access. Three decades later, he serves as President of Vianet Communications in Nepal - a company of 1,500+ employees that pioneered fiber-to-the-home broadband in the Himalayan nation and now counts 260,000 fiber customers. His Palo Alto-based ViaNet simultaneously handles bandwidth for the Grammy Awards, Academy Awards, and E3 gaming expo. Two companies, two continents, one career arc built entirely around connecting people.
