Jordan Harrod Wants You in the Room Where AI Decisions Happen
A scientist who started explaining algorithms on YouTube now advises institutions, teaches the public and co-owns a creator platform. Her recurring question is simple: who gets to understand the technology before it shapes their life?
Dave Wiskus
Dave Wiskus is the founder and CEO of Nebula, the creator-owned streaming service he launched in 2019 with a group of independent YouTubers, and of Standard, the talent company behind it. Before building a streaming platform pitched as an A24 for online video, he was a respected human interface designer who co-founded Q Branch with John Gruber and Brent Simmons to make the note-taking app Vesper. He also fronts the New York synth-rock band Airplane Mode and co-hosted the podcast Unprofessional.
Wendover Productions
Wendover Productions is the edutainment empire built by Sam Denby out of Aspen, Colorado. What started in 2015 as a one-person YouTube channel about how airlines route planes has metastasized into a multi-channel studio, a hit travel-competition show (Jet Lag: The Game), and a creator-owned streaming service (Nebula) where Denby now serves as Chief Content Officer. The throughline: take logistics, geography, and economics and make them feel like a thriller.
