Usama Syed
Usama Syed is a board-certified dermatologist turned startup founder, and the co-founder and CEO of FutureClinic (YC F24), a platform that lets any licensed doctor open a chat-based digital clinic. Trained in medicine and business at Imperial College London, he moved from the UK to New York for a dermatology residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he became chief resident and later faculty. Alongside clinical work he built an audience of more than 300,000 followers as a science-first skincare creator, co-founded the education company Liberty Medics, and now runs a company describing itself as building digital clinics that are 99% AI and 1% doctor.
Adam Margolin
Adam Margolin is a computational biologist turned biotech founder who co-founded Flashpoint Therapeutics, a clinical-stage company engineering spherical-nucleic-acid nanomedicines that aim to turn weak cancer therapies into curative ones. After a 20-year academic career that took him from Wharton and Wall Street to running the #3-ranked genetics department in the country at Mount Sinai, and a stint as a Venture Partner at Khosla Ventures, he teamed with Northwestern nanotech pioneer Chad Mirkin to build Flashpoint. He led the company as founding CEO through a $10M seed round before handing the chief executive role to biotech veteran Barry Labinger in 2025. His mission is deeply personal: his mother died of cancer when he was three.
Jack O'Hara
Jack O'Hara is the co-founder and CEO of Translucent, an AI-native financial operating system for healthcare. After eight years running technology and transformation inside multi-billion-dollar provider organizations - including a stint as CIO at value-based care group ChenMed and CIO/Chief Transformation Officer at Springfield Clinic - he started Translucent in 2024 to give every hospital and medical group its own always-on AI financial analyst. The company pairs operational, clinical, and financial data into a single view that surfaces real-time insight and root-cause analysis. Translucent raised a $7M seed in August 2025 and a $27M Series A led by GV in March 2026.
Richard Yu
Richard Yu is the Co-founder and CEO of Abalone Bio, an Emeryville, California-based biotechnology company pioneering AI-guided antibody drug discovery for notoriously hard-to-drug targets. With a PhD in Molecular Biophysics from Yale and a background spanning structural biology, systems biology, and biotech entrepreneurship, Richard built Abalone Bio's FAST platform - a high-throughput yeast cell screening system capable of evaluating 100 million antibody variants simultaneously. The company has secured partnerships with Pfizer and Mount Sinai, generated $7M in non-dilutive NIH grants, and published the world's first CB2 antibody agonist data, while positioning AI and large-scale functional datasets at the core of next-generation antibody therapeutics.
