Chris Knape
Chris Knape is the CEO and co-founder of Rare Candy, a marketplace and toolkit for trading card collectors that has scanned more than five million cards. He spent a decade inside marketplaces and platforms - YouTube, Google Play, Thumbtack, Tempo - before turning a pandemic-era return to childhood card collecting into a venture-backed company built alongside Pokemon YouTuber Leonhart. Raised on a sailboat in the US Virgin Islands and trained at Dartmouth, BCG, and the youngest-manager ranks of early YouTube, he now spends his days authenticating, auctioning, and tracking the cards that nerds love.
Max Spero
Max Spero is the cofounder and CEO of Pangram Labs, a New York based startup building the most accurate AI-text detector on the market. A Stanford-trained machine learning engineer who worked at Google, Two Sigma, Yelp, and the self-driving company Nuro, Spero co-founded Pangram in 2023 with college dormmate Bradley Emi to draw a clean line between human and machine writing. His obsession is the false positive rate: he refused to ship at one wrong call in a hundred and pushed his team to one in ten thousand. Pangram now powers AI verification for journalism platforms, schools, and trust and safety teams, and raised about $4M in seed funding in 2025.
Zvi Mowshowitz
Zvi Mowshowitz is a writer, AI safety analyst, and former professional Magic: The Gathering player. He is best known for his Substack newsletter 'Don't Worry About the Vase,' which publishes detailed weekly AI updates and rationalist commentary to over 33,000 subscribers. Inducted into the Magic: The Gathering Pro Tour Hall of Fame in 2007, Zvi is also the founder of nonprofit policy think tank Balsa Research and co-founded MetaMed, a personalized medical research firm backed by Peter Thiel. He is a prominent voice in the rationalist and AI safety communities, known for his p(doom) estimates of 60-70% and his systematic, data-driven approach to understanding AI risk.
