Remora is a Detroit-area climate-tech company that bolts carbon capture onto the things already burning fuel - semi-trucks and freight locomotives - instead of building giant plants to pull CO2 back out of the sky. Its zero-backpressure device threads exhaust through proprietary adsorbents, captures up to 90% of the CO2, reduces soot and NOx to Tier 4 levels, then liquefies the gas to be sold into a supply-constrained industrial CO2 market. Operators share the revenue, so cutting emissions becomes a line item that pays rather than one that costs.
Manik Suri is the Founder & CEO of GlacierGrid (formerly Therma), a San Francisco-based climate tech company that uses AI, IoT sensors, and intelligent controls to cut energy waste from refrigeration and cooling systems - responsible for nearly 10% of global emissions. A Harvard and Cambridge alumnus who once worked at D.E. Shaw and the White House National Economic Council, Suri pivoted from policy and finance to build tech that keeps food cold, businesses profitable, and the planet a degree cooler. GlacierGrid counts McDonald's, 7-Eleven, Domino's, and Marriott among its clients, has raised over $29 million in funding, and was named one of TIME's America's Top GreenTech Companies for 2025.
Anthony 'Tony' Stratakos is the co-founder and CEO of Element Energy, a West Menlo Park, California-based company pioneering adaptive battery management systems (BMS) that extend battery lifetimes by up to 50% and enable second-life repurposing of retired EV batteries for grid storage. A PhD electrical engineer from UC Berkeley, he previously co-founded Volterra Semiconductor in 1996 - a fabless power management IC company that went public in 2004 and was acquired by Maxim Integrated, where he rose to CTO before starting Element Energy in 2019. With $181.9M in total funding raised and a commissioned 53 MWh second-life battery storage project in Texas, Stratakos is building the infrastructure to make battery recycling obsolete.
